Social norms might restrict you from revealing to people how you feel about them, but that doesn't mean you can't get around it. Miss Havisham's has created a delicate series of not-so-subtly insulting cups "for the lady who speaks her mind," and the collection deserves to be inside everybody's cupboard.
"A wise woman once told me, 'If you got hate in your heart, you gotta let it out,'" Melisa Johnson, the woman behind Miss Havisham's wrote. "By far, our favorite way to release it is by stewing over a scalding cup of tea." Available in blue, aqua, or yellow, each cup comes with a saucer and a strong dose of brutal honesty. The phrases include "Kindly fuck off," "Please, go die," and other classics.
"I've been an animation producer for 20 years and this was a much needed creative outlet," Melissa explained her connection with tableware to *Bored Panda*. "My grandmother was a (crazy) sometimes-antique dealer and I grew up in an eccentric family surrounded by lovely, but often broken, things. Every woman in my family is a Miss Havisham to some degree so I guess old and creepy imprinted on me because pretty much everything I love is chipped and discarded."
"I love the juxtaposition of high brow and low. Here are these delicate and prissy cups that aren’t really what they seem on the outside and neither are most of us. They have a history and they also have spunk. Context is really everything. They can be super mean I suppose but if you don’t get my sense of humor there’s really nowhere to go from there."
"We hate your baby" is Melissa's favorite phrase from the whole collection. "No one is going to say that out loud but we’ve all thought it at one time or another. Oddly enough, that cup is particularly popular with parents which surprised me." Available individually or as a set, these insulting teacups and saucers start at around $60.

I've had three different people tag me in these, and yet no one has bothered to send them to my doorstep. Who's lacking the Christmas spirit now?
I wouldn't want anyone choking in my home and making mess of the carpet!
I would have loved to see that triangle and circle drawn in white lines on that black saucer!
You'd better not let Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced Bouquet) hear you say that! ☺

Load More Replies...I like them, there's a nice dose of humor and the cups and plates are beautiful. I would certainly keep a few of those at my home ^^
Is there an entire line of china that I can purchase with vulgar sayings on it! Plated8,bowls,etc?
That wise woman is really wise and You must not accumulate the negative emotions inside you like electric condensator - these negative emotions destroy your nervous system. But You can discharge situation like Miranda Lambert does usually- when she says what she think - and goes to press the buttons. Ha-ha-ha! These teacups with insulting inscription are very convenient for the big quarrel or scandal, to hurl these teacups into wall and to smash them! I like only three inscriptions there: "witch", "good witch" and "bad witch". Also I like the purple witch 😘
Dana Oswald you could use these for a fancy tea with your friends and enemies.
Not only context, but also attitude, are necessary. Attitude is everything, girls.
These are ... just odd. I like the ones that are so over the top that they're probably not serious, but the rest are just hostile. Maybe I'll keep drinking my tea in a Starbucks mug.
They're jokes. People, like me, are sarcastic and have a different sense of humor than others. While I would NEVER give these to an old relative or a new friend, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't give these to a good friend or funny family member.
