"I don’t really feel I have that 'unique' style, but I’m in love with script and flourishes since actually I began with copperplate calligraphy at first," Dexa Muamar told Lettering Guy. "The way the letters connect is something special for me, and I can play with the flourish of course. And for now I feel more comfortable drawing at small scale. [It’s] usually at 3-4cm in width."

Meet Dexa Muamar, an Indonesian artist who intricately letters meaningful phrases on the micro scale. Titled "Tiny Masterworks," these drawings are at present just a hobby for Muamar, who is finishing a BA in Economic Development. When Lettering Guy asked Muamar what drives him to lettering, despite his other pursuits, he replied:

“I think letters is the way to reveal our thought about something that happens around us, like me, I like to [write] quotes [that reflects someone’s] incident/case. I rarely bring motivation quotes, i love the “truest” quotes that has an impact on us. Besides that, making letters kinda been therapy for me, you won’t get the “good letters” just by in short time, I love how we strive to pursuit it”

Add "be" after "born to" Add"-ing" to "stand" It can be read as: born to be standing out OR born to be outstanding Just a suggestion ;3

This is good, but I think it would be more inspirational if the quote was oriented at learning by your mistakes. It's all experience that's there to make us stronger and wiser.

So true. Makin (certain) mistakes is part of the process of growth, which can lead to success

To all those saying "you can't read cursive", I had trouble reading it as well. The flourish to the 'xpl' in explain is rather confusing. Plus, I thought this guy had a problem with math at first. Seriously, how hard is pi to explain?

It's sad how many people probably can't read these because they never learned cursive. Though admittedly the 'P' in explain did throw me for a sec.

I did learn cursive and I can read these mainly, but this quote and another one on the list are a bit too "fancy" to read. Which is a typical mistake many cursive lovers do. Beauty over functionality.

Ugh... This is slightly illegible. I thought the "it's funny" part was "city hinny", and, please, someone tell me what the last word is....
