Hi. I'm not a lonely guy; I like to be by myself most of the time.

Well, but I have to confess that it is also because I fear people's judgment. Yes, I figured it out these last years. This fear comes from my childhood (of course), and I know, but I won't be clear about it here.

So I can say I have kind of a wall around me that keeps people away. It could look safe for an afraid boy, but now it's just limiting my social skills, to say the least.

Enter Lonecat. He is a lonely cat who loves his own company, but is very open to people and is very good at making friends, so he can help me be more open.

Also, some people can learn how good it is to be by themselves sometimes. It's great to have a good time with friends and by yourself too.

So meet Lonecat, and I hope you'll befriend him. You can also check out my other posts here and here.

A Short Introductory Comic

A Short Introductory Comic

I started illustrating very early. The oldest memory of this is when I was 5 years old, creating a little book with the characters of Winnie the Pooh. And since then my love for creating new worlds and creatures has only grown.

The most challenging part of the creative process for me is keeping the mood and dedication, as I have other obligations and I often find myself tired, with little energy to dedicate to what I love. But this time I've been doing my best to keep Lonecat alive and share it with you.

I love the power to relive my childhood with Lonecat's little world creations. Our inner child must be fed because this is the flame that keeps our joy and authenticity alive, if our child dies, we become bitter and robotic, with no sparkle in our eyes.

I hope Lonecat brings that smile of the child that still lives inside you. These illustrations show us that it is good to live well with yourself, and also have people around you. I wanted people to realize that if they are alone, they have the best company too - themselves.

My inner child is what keeps me creating. I'm in my thirties and I work in graphic design. The years in the job market have already worn my artist down so much that he almost didn't survive. Lonecat has played a very important role in rescuing this artist who still sees the world with the innocent eyes of a child. Don't confuse innocence with naivety, innocence is the state where we are still empty and what shines is our original light before being shaped by society.

So it's very important to bring back that original light and grow from it, leaving aside all social conditioning, that's the only way to live an authentic and creative life.

For the future, one thing that makes me very excited is the possibility of quitting the design and focusing only on Lonecat and its adventures. I'm a dreamer, so many times when I'm creating some Lonecat adventure I find myself imagining him in animations, books and whatever else he fits.

I know it's not that simple, but my dream for the future is to share Lonecat with thousands of people around the world. And who knows, maybe you can help me with that.

And remember you are always your best company.

During summer here, we have a plethora of pesky insects... unfortunately. However, some of our native bugs are not pesky as well. I think most.bugs on earth can be quite beautiful, for the most part!
