I'd love to introduce you to my latest art book which has been over four years in the making.

'Welsh Monsters & Mythical Beasts' is an illustrated compendium exploring the mythical creatures of Wales, comprised of ink and watercolors. You may have heard of the Red Dragon (Ddraig Goch) featured on the national flag of Wales. Sadly, here in Wales, many of our other beasts are being forgotten.

I felt to sad to see that my culture is loosing such an amazing array of creatures and legends that surround them. Therefore, I decided to bring them back to the forefront of Welsh culture and introduce them to a new generation by sharing our rich mythology with the world.

I'm so excited about this art book, there's so much contend and so many unique creatures, I hope you will love it too!

Wow, beautiful work. I'd like to see that on a round badge. Or a mosaic on a round window

Ever since I read Susan Cooper's "The Dark is Rising" as a kid, the Mari Lwyd has scared the poop out of me.

If you do not understand what it is basically if you are visited by the Mary lwyd (lwyd is said a leed) you must sing with it if you loose it raids your kitchen if you win it leaves (it also drinks all your beer if you loose)

I love the expression on this one. It knows full well the effect it's having on people. It's the original troll! And the way it's opening up its robes - pssst, wanna see something really scary? I've always been fascinated by the Mari Lwyd since I first heard about it, what a great and creepy tradition! And absolutely fantastic depiction in your artwork, 10/10.

The Mari Lloyd is still a tradition in llangynwyd where it started a rams head on a stick decorated and taken around mostly to the pubs it's a bit freaky but the school kids near by make them as well and everyone Sean's to live it . Tbh I'd never even heard about it till I moved here .

You encountered her while walking in the forest you got scared but immediately relieve when you saw her hands, giving you thumbs-up.

If you read the book called Ghosts of Greenglass House, you will find a creature just like this, but it is called a hobbyhorse, and it is an occasion... I recommend reading the first one first.

This is my favourite, although not because a lot of the others are more like nightmares (which actually, I love lol). The detail, and the expression, and the way you have incorporated branches and autumn leaves into the mane, it's both beautiful and dangerous looking, perfect! Your art is amazing, thank you for showing us all these creatures! I love mythology and monsters and I'd heard of several, including this, but not all of them, so you're doing a great job!

Wow, looks remarkably like illustrations of some dinosaurs today. I love all of your drawings, I truly hope they get made into a book with descriptions to help preserve your heritage.
