You may be cool, but you'll never be "Dalì-Throwing-Gang-Signs-On-A-Gondola" cool.

These pictures come from one of the biggest photographic archives in Europe, Cameraphoto studio in Venice. Among the 320,000 negatives conserved in the archive are over 50 years of history and culture in the City of Water. From protagonists of the cinema to artists, bizarre invasions of elephants and eccentric characters, walks on water, unlikely inventions and adverse weather conditions - all this and much more has passed through the lens of the agencies photographers.

All this coolness needs to be preserved and handed down to future generations. In order to save the original negatives of these photographs, the owner of the archive launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise sufficient funds to digitize the original photographs and obtain copies of the images in high resolution.

Why were celebrities of this era and past more beautiful than the ones we call celebrities nowadays?

Maria Scicolone, Sophia's sister, got married with Romano Mussolini, son of the italian dictator Benito Mussolini. Romano Mussolini was the "rebel" of the family, playing "negro jazz" during the '30. He used to play jazz on the roof of the summer villa of Mussolinis, and someone reported to the dictator Benito Mussolini this thing. He called the son and asked him "Is it true you playing negro jazz on the roof?", Romano Mussolini replied "Yes", and the dictator said "Well, if i catch you playing that music, better you stay there on the roof and don't come down"...

The "prince" if italian comedy. Like a fusion of Jerry Lewis, Buster Keaton and Bob Hope. He was born in Naples, as illegitimate son of a lady and a marquis. But the marquis never recognized him as his son, so when he got famous and rich, he bought a noble title of Prince. his name was Antonio De Curtis, but after the title, the name became: Antonio Griffo Focas Flavio Angelo Ducas Comneno Porfirogenito Gagliardi De Curtis di Bisanzio. His generosity was proverbial. At the top of the success, he used to go around the poor streets of Naples and handle thousands of banknotes to people who needs. He supported and patroned a dog shelter for hundreds of dogs, sponsored a house for young mothers and dozens of other philanthropist organizations. If you get the chance to watch any of his movies in YT, with english subtitles, give it a try. And choose "Miseria e Nobilta'" :))
