I went to explore this historical garden which is nestled in the heart of the Indian capital city of New Delhi and is located about three kilometers away from the Indian Parliament as well as the Prime Minister's office.

The garden is spread over an area of 90 acres and is replete with rich history, a wide variety of fauna, flora, and some beautiful majestic views. The park has the tombs of Mohammad Shah and Sikandar Lodi as well as Shisha Gumbad and Bara Gumbad.

Mohammad Shah and his son Alam Shah were the third and fourth rulers from Sayyid Dynasty to rule Delhi Sultanate before the Sultanate was taken over by Lodhi Dynasty in 1451 when Alam Shah voluntarily retired in favor of Bahlul Khan Lodhi. Bahlul Lodhi was one of the most powerful and vigorous leaders in Mohammad Shah's empire and he was raised to the status of Tarun-Bin-Sultan by him.
