We live next to an orchard, farm shop and cafe with the most beautiful blossom in the spring. This year only the shop is open for essential food supplies and they’re doing an amazing job supporting our local community.

They’ve also been posting their own phone shots of the blossom to social media, wishing they could do it justice and share it with their customers but the orchard has to remain closed to the public. As their friend and neighbour, I asked if I could come for a walk with my camera and they gave me permission to come at dawn whilst everyone else was sleeping.

It was a beautiful morning and utterly stunning as the sun came up and lit the orchard, causing the early morning mist to glow around their two ponies. The dew on the blossom shone and I had the most amazing time wandering alone with my camera. If you’re unable to get out to see the beauty of nature yourself, I hope these photos make you smile!

I walked down the path from our house at 5:30am

A frosty dandelion clock before the light hit

The sun rising behind the hill

As the sun rose higher, the mist glowed and everything warmed up

The blossom was beautifully lit by the early light

From bright pinks to pastels

The dew sparkled

The sun shone through the petals

And between the trees
