The Hungarian Revolution of 1956 or the Hungarian Uprising of 1956 (Hungarian: 1956-os forradalom or 1956-os felkelés) was a nationwide revolt against the government of the Hungarian People’s Republic and its Soviet-imposed policies, lasting from 23 October until 10 November 1956.
Public discussion about this revolution was suppressed in Hungary for more than 30 years. Since the thaw of the 1980s, it has been a subject of intense study and debate. At the inauguration of the Third Hungarian Republic in 1989, 23 October was declared a national holiday.
I already have made some other themed LEGO photo series so I thought: why not create a historical series about hungarian heroes?
This series took me around 15 hours. I started the work 1:00 pm on 22th October and I finished with it on 23rd October 6 am. So, I was really tired. I built scenery and I used real tools for effects like smoke, debris etc.
On the second picture, I used a contemporary photo as house facade.
I hope you will like these photos.
