I Make Vaporwave Inspired Posters Exploring Communication In Digital World Every Day

222 days ago I decided to start a project where I would make a poster every day for a year. There is one rule in this project: I must make each poster in one day from start to finish.

Themes of posters fly around struggles and joys of the communication in the modern world. That's what interests me, maybe that's what I struggle with most And I've found a love with retro and vapor aesthetics, low-poly images, pixel graphics and other stuff around 80s-90s of the 20th century. I try to adjust it to a modern era.

I went through different things during these days. The most extreme situation I made a poster in was me in a tent in 36 °C heat, no electricity, no LTE, GPRS only.

It makes you more disciplined. You plan everything ahead, you say No to a lot of things. It helps you find what's important and what's not. You spend less time scrolling Facebook. And you're happy after all.

It teaches not to stop if you fail. I skipped 3 days because I traveled up north over the Arctic Circle to a place with no electricity in 100 km around. I said to myself "Shit happens. It's not the end of the world. I must continue".

If someone asks me about should she start an everyday project, I say YES. My only advice is: it should be something that you can make in 15 minutes. A photo, an illustration, a doodle, anything. Because you can find 15 minutes in your day no matter what happened. If you're thinking about starting a project like this, go for it!
