I left Texas and joined the Navy in early 2002 after the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks. I wanted to serve my country and see the world. 18 years and 26 countries later, I feel like I’ve done that. These comics are a humorous take on some of my experiences as a Sailor and a Misplaced Texan.

There’s a lot of debate about who has the best barbecue (Texas, obviously) but it’s definitely NOT hamburgers and hotdogs.

What did I do during quarantine? Uh, I stayed busy.

Quarantine style. Slides and socks. Crocs and socks. Say “carmel” instead of “caramel”. Nothing matters anymore.

The “humble brags” change as you get older.

What would I do with a time machine? You’re going to have to rewrite the Texas history books.

We wear coveralls on warships and I press (iron) mine. I know that nobody but me can tell, but sometimes it’s just the way you FEEL that matters most.

I LOVED my NES when I was a kid but I’ve NEVER been good at video games.

Male pattern baldness comes from your mother’s side, apparently. My dad still has all his hair. Nobody escapes the aches and pains of aging, though.
