I Created A Set Of Christmas Ornaments Featuring Women Who Inspired Us In 2019

I spend many of my evenings painting in watercolor. I’m often inspired by what is going on around the world, what is highlighted in the news, or what is happening in popular culture. Particularly when the world can seem dark, I draw great inspiration from those who bring light.

Among my paintings in 2019 are many women who inspired me and who, I’m sure, inspired many others as well. They include Megan Rapinoe, who was a superstar in the Women’s World Cup, Simone Biles, who once again proved she is the world’s greatest gymnast, Nancy Pelosi, who runs the House and is the most powerful woman in the United States, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who is a strong champion of equal rights and who has (notoriously) become a pop culture icon, Arya Stark, who slays Night Kings and had GoT fans jumping out of their seat cheering, and Dolly Parton, who brings everyone together.

With the Christmas season upon us, I decided to turn these paintings into ornaments so that these women could be an inspiration from a Christmas tree, year after year.
