It took an accepted design for a charity event for me to begin creating mosaic art on surfboards and I discovered that I really love the challenge. In this piece named “Marina”, I again used mostly mirror and stained glass to create my interpretation of a mermaid among the waves. The inspiration came from an old Irish folk tale about “Marina the Merrow”.
From my Huntington Beach studio I have been making mosaic art using everything from stained glass, tile and stone, to shells that I use on the beach to create temporary works of art.

@Magdalina777 Yes...you are correct. This is an art piece. I would not advise surfing on glass. ;)
Beautiful, but I'm assuming it means the surfboard cannot be used as a surfboard anymore with something like that on it, so it's more of an interesting art shape rather than a unique surfboard design?
