Last weekend the annual Classic Car Boot Sale cruised into my local neighbourhood, King’s Cross, with its fascinating array of vintage fashion, accessories and homeware traders. The moment I stepped outside my flat I felt transported to a by-gone era with 1950’s rock ‘n’ roll echoing across this dynamic and ever-changing corner of London. I knew immediately that this represented a photographic opportunity not to be missed.

The area’s vast public spaces were filled with pristine vintage vehicles, street food stalls and quirky shoppers perusing the creative stands in search of their next rare find. Despite the unseasonable weather the atmosphere was fun and relaxed. There was a sea of smiley faces and the gentle hum of nostalgic conversations and price negotiations. I spent a good few hours immersing myself into the experience, capturing the spirit of the day and chatting to several wonderfully creative people. Here is a selection of some of the photos I took during the day.
