Artist Alessandro Paglia, based in Italy, draws incredibly realistic drawings using only colored pencils on paper. The details are mesmerizing. You’d never believe they are indeed pencil drawings. It took a lot of time and patience, layering colors over colors, the final art pieces created are so full of sheen and deepness. Check them out!
And when you are done, see more of Paglia's next-level artwork in a previous post on Bored Panda.

I though realistic came from reality? That kind of reality where hands are not golden and melting
Imagine you just got your hand into some thick golden liquid. That'd be a realistic portrait of that :)
Load More Replies...U know I'd actually think that was a piece of cloth and not a drawing...
for some reason when I first saw this I thought it was a bunch of phones!!
NOT YOU TOO BB8!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
stop the cap, this is way to good to be done with colored pencils
i like a lot of them, but most of them are pictures as stuff getting destroyed.
The artist's technique is truly outstanding. Great artists have relied upon Prismacolor pencils since the 1950s that I recall (I'm old) In the late 1960s and 1970s Prismacolor ads displayed some of the most amazing illustrations. They should p0ublish a book of illustrations from their old ads. Just look up one - a portrait of Pele - and you'll see.
