Loving Husband Lists All The Reasons He Loves His Wife Who Is Battling Depression
Tim Murphy, a Los Angeles-based engineer, surprised his new wife Molly with a beautiful love note. Molly, who suffers from depression, had just returned from a trip to San Francisco and was feeling particularly blue. When she flopped down on her bed, she noticed Tim has written a 15 point love note on their bedroom mirror, title “Reasons I Love My Wife.”
“I’m not saying mental illness is cured by nice words on a mirror,” write Molly on Imgur. “In fact, it takes professional care, love, empathy, sometimes even medication just to cope. Many people struggle with it mental illness – more than we probably even realize….show them kindness and remind them things can and WILL get better. Everyone needs a little help sometimes. If that person can’t be you – see if you have any resources for therapy.

Load More Replies...This is beautiful and I love it and I fully respect that. But it says about her going to a stip club with him
Yes...I didn't want to say anything as this is such a positive piece, but I cringed at that (not at the misspelling)
Load More Replies...I'm really thrilled by this gesture and I hope everything goes well for this couple. But I only have one peace of advice: if that's your bedroom I would suggest you guys to make it more colorful, like add a funny carpet or get some cool paintings for your wall. Please don't get me wrong as I'm not judging your room style, it's just that I think vivid colors could help your wife alot. Anyways I wish yall the best and I hope every person going through depression gets the right attention like this lucky lady. Peace :)
I absolutely adore what he has done for her, especially understanding the depression aspect, even though it varies between humand to human. However, would it not be just as beautiful, if not more so, if the significant other did such - regardless of the demons the other has? Must someone be depressed to appreciate such an act of love? A random act that does not stem from despair and sorrow, yet shows true appreciation of the one you are with. I apologise if this comes across as insensitive. But as a victim of depression, I would appreciate the act even more so unprompted.
bless this man, my husband just left me and blamed me for everything
Bless you and your wife... Good job on your marriage and being a husband... :)
So touching and beautiful to have someone feel like that about you and able to express it so clearly and so frankly. Especially when you most need it. Lucky you both:)
I read the whole list with a smile on my face, thinking how sweet it was, then I noticed the expression on Molly's face in the mirror, and I lost it.
It's sort of funny how a list that's called 'all the reasons I love my wife' mostly describes how she helps him do stuff. I might be wrong, but it does look pretty selfish if she is dealing with depression.
Some of them are about her and one is about her and animals.
Load More Replies...what if she don't want to live to make her husband happy!? Maybe she wants to make herself happy.
