Recording the conversation wouldn't have helped. Inadmissible in court since he didn't consent to being recorded and it took place in his own home. I get what you're saying, but the recording would have done no one any good. Personally I would have suggested beating the s**t out of him until he was only half dead since that's a lesser prison term, but his size would have made that difficult. That being said, this isn't taking justice into their own hands. This is taking revenge because there is no justice. The guy doesn't seem to have any illusions about that.

A six year old girl doesn't ask for sex, anyone who says the opposite and rapes a six year old deserves to die. Wouldn't be surprised if his daughter was one of his victims too. Strange that the police didn't investigate this case any further. If they had done, they would have found evidence of him being a serial-rapist before he was shot.

I am not a fan of people taking justice into their own hands either, but this man was 100% justified and I completely support his decision. His 6 YEAR OLD daughter was raped by a beast who felt that she "asked" for it. When any other animal attacks a child, they get put down. This animal did not deserve the quick death he got. The only injustice here is that the father had to spend so much time in jail for doing the job. And don't even mention the courts. They are not the justice system, they are the legal system. They do not care about justice. If I could have killed the guy who raped my child, I would have. The courts did NOTHING.

No..no..no bullet in the brain is the best way to stop this predator, jail cell is nothing compared to my girl future.

Not sure if you have a daughter or children if your own. But hearing that. Experiencing that. Suffering knowing your child was out into such sexual harm that medical attention like stitches had to be implemented. Living with the thought that you yourself put your child in harms way by allowing you child stay at a friends house. (Because why wouldn’t you? They are 6. Nothing sexual crosses your mind with a child let alone an adolescent) then hearing the “man” who did is make an allegation such as your child “asked for it”. No. No. I think the gentleman was too kind to his daughters abuser.

This man clearly had mental issues. A fatherless girl (who could have become a victim too, after all) is better than tens of other raped little children. Also, depending on what kind of education he would have provided for his daughter, it could have damaged her too, if not by raping her or abusing her somehow, then by making her an abuser. I'm not supportive of death punishments, but the earth is undoubtedly better off without people like him, even if this sounds harsh.

I didn't read it as him going with the intention of shooting the man. When the man said it wasn't rape, that she wanted it--the shooting seems more like a crime of passion. The man loved his daughter and to hear someone say that probably made his blood boil.

perhaps it's neither about justice, nor revenge, but survival for the children. repeated trauma can cause them to grow up suicidal, or worse... become rapists themselves, etc. perhaps this is merely a gut reaction from me... it's hard to know if you haven't been in that actual situation yourself. but me, personally? currently, I believe that if anyone rapes my children, I don't care if it's just or not, I don't even have to be angry, the rapist could be my best friend and I might feel sympathy for them, but I will still kill them. Not from hatred, and not for justice, but because those are my babies, and they matter more to me than my own life. Than a hundred lives.

I feel bad for you, for having any feelings towards a rapist. Specially one that hurts 6 year old girls. I don't think that man should of even went to jail. The only part that is bad in this story, other then the rape, was that the man got put in jail. And he was way nicer about it, then most people would of been. I would of tortured him. Rape is never okay, and is a pure evil act. Worse on kids.

I too am conflicted. As a father of daughters, I can certainly understand. My youngest is six-years-old, and to think that someone could cause that kind of harm to someone as young and innocent as her makes my blood run cold. To have my child go through such trauma and then not have me there for her for so many years makes me think such action would be more selfish than noble, but at the same time, protecting others from such a monster is definitely a sacrifice worth making. In the end, I like to think that I would do my very best to find a way to ensure he faces justice through legal means, but the law can be a difficult dance partner. Even something as simple as recording a conversation between two people without explicit consent from both parties is illegal and inadmissible in some states. Even expending this mental energy is emotionally taxing...

It wasn't justice...more like vengeance or revenge...? But I'm on his side though, the guy deserved it.

My feelings exactly! This man was blinded by rage and acted on instinct, a parent will do desperate things to protect their children...so horrible, poor girl, scarred for life and lost precious years with her dad

I believe that killing the man was not the solution, but maybe privately investigating and bringing the evidence to the police would have been better. Man gets justice, you aren't a murderer, and no prison time for you.

It is also a burden on the survivors, the friend lost her dad and carries guilt that she does not deserve but has it nonetheless because some of her actions led to her father's death (befriending the other child, probably being raped herself). Even though the fellow was not a good person he was loved by his daughter... The correct path is prevention, stopping what happens, and somehow isolating those people from children.
