“Woke” originally meant being alert to racial prejudice and discrimination. However, over the past decade, it has evolved into a much broader awareness of social injustices. In pop culture and social media, being “woke” has been associated with even the smallest things – for example, your milk choice.

Well, today we’re aiming to blend the two sides of the “woke” concept to determine where exactly you stand. Ever wondered whether your social radar is taking a nap or going 100 miles an hour? We’ll go through 29 questions, some silly, some more serious, but worry not – no one is here to judge you. Either way, the journey’s half the fun, so let’s wake up and smell the oat milk!

"Completely unbothered" Well, yeah. Life's stressful enough without having to go ask your neighbor what kind of orientation their flag represents. (And it's a creepy question, we're not friends, I don't care who they're bedding.)

I'm old enough to have seen hundreds of fads come and go. Usually, the sooner they go the better. As for the flag, the one I fly has never been seen before, specifically in order to confuse everybody.

"Completely unbothered"? I marched for marriage equality and wear a PROTECT THE DOLLS t-shirt, have very publicly advocated for indigenous rights, and have a reputation for being extremely opinionated, angry and outspoken when it comes to anything I perceive as an injustice. I'm pretty sure I am at least somewhat bothered, BP.

The first few are missing the "Ignore it completely" option. I don't care about new holidays or flags. I don't put tv programmes on for "background noise", I put them on to watch. My school didn't have a mascot (they don't in the UK). All so pointless.

"Casually Conscious". More or less what I think of myself; BTW, "21. First thought when you see a QR code menu?" I hate it so much. Looking at my phone is not something I will do in a restaurant. I am informing staff I don't have a way to scan it (lie, but ścręw the qr menus), ask for menu and if they don't have it, I am walking out (if my companions think the same way). Happily, in PL they are still rare.

I selected 'confused' because I wouldn't know if there's stalls or it's all one room, and how much privacy there is in the stalls. I can understand how people wouldn't want unisex, stall washrooms with the wide gaps. I don't even feel comfortable in the women's only washrooms with big gaps. People tend to peak in just to see if there's anyone in the stall, or sometimes just stand in front to pressure people to finish up faster. (Seriously. This happens in Walmart washrooms. Girls will also comment to each other about the sounds of other people's businesses in the stalls and tell each other what they see someone doing.)

I'm a next-level woke. Is it because my body hasn't tolerated dairy since childhood? Is it because my language doesn't have gendered personal pronouns? Is it because I'm used to using unisex bathrooms before it was a thing? I'm surprised they didn't ask if you're vegetarian or vegan. It's good to know if others feel comfortable and safe around me, though. I am aware of the tolerance in intolerance that makes me intolerant of people and ideas that are intolerant. I've read about the tolerance paradox made famous by Karl Popper.

"Mildly Aware" whatever that means. I have absolutely no idea what my choice of an orange water bottle indicates (other than I love the colour) nor why sitting next to an elderly person (I'm arguably the elderly person myself, according to some BP articles) indicates my degree of social conscience. Oh, and bucket hats are already back in style (in the UK sporting arena at least). Get off my lawn.

Y'all keep getting caught up on the word woke a if it was a new term. It came African American Vernacular it is literally just the word awoke, 'woke, woke.

"Mildly Aware– You’ve peeked outside the bubble and spotted a headline or two, but you’re not planning a protest march anytime soon. You enjoy staying informed as long as it doesn’t interrupt dinner. Friends count on you for balanced takes that won’t harsh the vibe." Not inaccurate, but that's pretty much the opposite of "woke". "Woke" has this connotation of being really aggressive and rigid in your beliefs that gives you more in common with the Christian nationalist than the moderate leftie, at least if you ask me.

Mildly Aware You’ve peeked outside the bubble and spotted a headline or two, but you’re not planning a protest march anytime soon. You enjoy staying informed as long as it doesn’t interrupt dinner. Friends count on you for balanced takes that won’t harsh the vibe. A little extra curiosity could spice things up nicely. Yeah that's more than a little offensive.

Why dignify the word "woke" by using it in a survey title? It had noble roots, but it's now the property of fools and bigots who have no legitimate argument for their position and call names instead. Some of its notorious predecessors were "social justice warrior", "politically correct", "bleeding heart", and when I was young "n-word lover". Leave the word alone so that others can identify who they are when they've left their MAGA hats at home.

Hmm, Causually Conscious. I guess helping run my school's GSA for three years wasn't the right type of 'woke' for BP. And a lot of these questions seemed like they're based on memes or stereotypes of people doing their best to be kind to others. Also, BP, I regret to inform you that all of your 'imaginary pet' options were very real animals, and also no purple in the water bottle question? All of my favorite water bottles have been purple.

Woke only means aware and from what you say your culture is more woke on the whole which is good

Why? Why would anyone choose ignorance? Which is btw the opposite of woke. Being in darkness ignorant. Woke only means awakened "was blind but now I see" ring a bell? Y'all keep getting caught up on the word woke a if it was a new term. It came African American Vernacular it is literally just the word awoke, 'woke, woke.

"Midly aware" apparently. Aware of what I don't know, however, so there's that. If I happen to align with anyone's ideas of what i should be, it's random.

Most of these questions are asinine! I read most of the internet and news articles with amusement! The test was obviously developed by people who spend too much wanking! Get a life already! If this is woke, why did you wake me? Duh!

    25. You spot a nonbinary restroom sign; you feel: Pissed off and worried women are going to get filmed photographed or creeped on (This was not an option)
