A happy relationship can be the most rewarding thing in the world. As anybody who’s ever been in one knows however, they aren’t always (or ever) easy. But they can be made a lot easier by following the advice outlined in these wonderful illustrations.
They come from the website Power of Positivity and they’re designed to remind you of the things that are easy to forget. The secret to a successful relationship lies in the details, the finer things that are often overlooked, especially when you’ve been together for a long time. Like showing appreciation and gratitude, even for the small things, and always supporting each other no matter what. It isn’t always possible to follow all of these rules, but even if you remember only one or two of them then you’re sure to have a happier life together.

Begin and end each day together if you can, but don't get mad if your partner's schedule don't match yours, or if one of you has to go for a longer trip somewhere else. 6. Never go to bed angry if possible. But understand that anger is an emotion that shouls be resolved, not suppressed, ignored or hidden in a self-decieving fake-it-till-you-make-it attitude. 9. If you judge your partner, there must be some misunderstanding, talk it over together, and always be ready to admit you were wrong and apologise. You know they'll forgive you anyway. 'Cause they love you. 12. Forgive, but never forget. We don't wanna repeat the same mistakes all over again. 13. Leave a surprise meal or snack. With a surprise note if you want it. 14. Don't bother making every dinner romantic. As long as you're with your loved one, it will be romantic either way. And once again, don't get mad if your schedules mismatch. - Okay, that's about it.
Thank you, Cassie Williams for sorting out the point behind my long long comment. As for you, Steve Golla, if you don't want to read the whole comment, you're in no position to judge. I can clearly see you only read the first sentence.
Load More Replies...I have been married for 40 years, and this is a bit of old tosh really. There is no list of rules, some of these are just impractical and nonsense. Life gets in the way of most of them, respect and love goes a long way, so do stand up fights. I really get annoyed with this little childish portrayal of perfect ways to behave, if you want to really stay with someone, just really try hard not to be a moron - and take it from there. It's very, very hard sometimes, re-evaluate your life along the way, and keep working on it.
In the perfect world, that's how a relationship should go... But thinking that it follows that pattern everyday is probably the recipe to disaster.
You have to work at it. Every day is never perfect. Every day will ne very work the way you want. But, if you both work at it, it is well worth the journey! We are 33 yrs and counting...our second marriage...both of our first had a partner who did not want to work together.
Load More Replies...When you get angry at your partner for hurting your feelings, remember that they love you and their intention most likely was not to hurt you. I think that's pretty huge. If you let anger allow you to ignore that fact and you paint them as some awful person who doesn't care, then you are in for a lot of nasty fights. Trying to understand where they were coming from and what their true intentions were will help you take fights that used to be big and make them very small. Respect is also something that can take a hit when there are unresolved resentments in a relationship. Communicating the issues that got you to resenting them is so important. A healthy relationship takes a lot of work and a lot of trust in your partner. The best thing you can do is not be so hard on them and to remember that they are actively showing you that same grace.
Next year my husband and I celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, my parents celebrate their 60th, my sister and her husband celebrate their 40th and if my mother in law was still alive it would have been their 57th. I have 17 cousins and all but 2 are married and still with their original partners (1 has passed away). It takes commitment to the other person, putting them first and if you're both doing this it makes for a beautiful relationship. We are Moore in love now than ever and didn't think this possible when we married.

What an amazing testimony to be written I never believed that i could finally get back the happiness and the love that was gone after my husband left me totally. I couldn't just believe that spells and magic could turn my thoughts and my dreams into reality in getting back with my husband after he served me with divorce papers.. my ex husband after the divorce never showed up to me and the kids anymore, he finally made up his mind on me and said it was over. 2 years after our divorce, i was still out trying to get him back and i did all that i knew best could make him happy, and my mum and everybody around just advised i should forget about him and move on with my life, because they felt he was gone forever and was never gonna return. But i never gave up on trying to get him back, because i so much loved him beyond what anybody could ever imagine. I met a spell caster, and what drew my attention most was the reviews people was writing about this spell caster when i contacted him. Espe
Why are all but one of these adult long-term relationship suggestions illustrated by short, big-headed, distinctively non-adult looking drawings? And the last panel shows a stereotypical "old man" and "old lady." Who looks like this these days?
