The reason why "Still use the Russian alphabet?" is annoying to Bulgarians: First, because Bulgarian adopted the Cyrillic alphabet even before Russian when Russia did not exist, in fact, it was a Bulgarian invention. Idiots. Bulgaria is one of the ancient 6 countries that exist till today. Cyrillic was invented long before there was Russia. Moreover durring our golden age of culture people in England, France, Germany and Spain were just considering talking their langulages only to their horses and dogs
It you're a traveller within the target country saying this, your words of annoyment might actually appear as a joke, depends how you carry them on. The true problem is when you meet an individual of an ethnic minority within your own country and then give them these same annoying questions. Don't do that.
