Honey Bee is our amazing blind cat that loves to go hiking with us! We adopted her from Animals Fiji, but she now lives in Seattle with her 2 humans and 4 other cats.
When we go hiking, we take her on our shoulders or with a leash. People say they love dogs because you can take them hiking, but Honey Bee loves hiking, too!
At the bottom, there’s a video of a hike we went on to Mason Lake, in the mountains outside of Seattle.

She loves to ride on shoulders and we would take her on long walks
Honey Bee likes listening to water sounds when we go on outdoor adventures
Her good sense of edges and drop-offs means that she can get close without falling in.
Hiking goes a bit slower with Honey Bee because there are so many smells and sounds everywhere
She has regular water and snack breaks, just like us
When you Bee-lieve in yourself, you can climb any mountain

I have my own vision impaired kitty, he is awesome and I wouldn't trade him for anything. We also had a vision impaired kitty at our store.
Honey Bee hit the jackpot with her family. They didn't do so bad either, she's great.

My cat is like Honey Bee, has no eyes, and loves exploring around the house, under supervision. I never trained her with a leash, a pity!

here is a fine example of how we should treat all living creatures, including humans.
I just wonder what the cat thinks when it is in that kind of area all the smells and sounds, watching her walk up the trail..
It's an interesting study on how we over-rely on one sense over other possibly more useful ones. Also, cats have poor day vision anyway.
I use to a tabby cat, and people would say,`Hi Dave see you`ve got the dog with you` and I would shout he`s not a dog he`s a bl--dy cat!

where can I get this type of harness?! my cat gets out of the one I use :(
try harnesses for small dogs, i use one on my cat. you have to adjust it to fit snugly, cats are Houdinis when it comes to wriggling :):)

Is she really blind?! Because i had a little cat who has crusty eyes. His eyes were always closed. So I wiped his eyes so he can see!
