French celebrity barber David Kodat is a miracle worker with a pair of scissors and clippers. Now, he’s being praised left and right on TikTok for giving a homeless man a free haircut and the difference really is like night and day. “We had a really tough time, my family and me, when I was little. We were also homeless. I always kept that in my head I never forgot those moments,” David opened up to Bored Panda. David is one of the most humble and honest people I’ve talked to. He told Bored Panda that working with famous clients is very different than working with anyone else. “It’s another world. It’s very difficult.” However, he likes the variety and the changes in his life: from his living room to the streets, to the stars visiting his salon.

“Hairdressing the homeless allows me to keep my head on my shoulders and remember what I’ve been through,” he said.

David also revealed that he never actually wanted to be a barber; he came into the job because he had no choice. “I wasn’t too good at school and my dad forced me to do this job so I started very young and then liked it.” What he loves about his job is the flexibility: he can be doing hairstyles for celebs abroad one day and cutting the hair of the needy in the streets the next day.
