Homeless Couple Get A Makeover And A Surprise Charity Wedding After Being Together For 24 Years

It's easy to judge when you're in a position to control more or less what happens in your life and also have the privilege of having been educated enough to not end up like them. They're the result of a country that doesn't care about its citizens and the lower class.

Perhaps it could be due to Catholic "missionaries" running around the world telling poor, uninformed people that they must "reproduce" and that condoms are evil. Hence, the AIDS epidemic in Africa, which left so many children orphaned.

i think this couple was happy for that day and know has beautiful memories... nothing lifechanging but nevertheless something special for them. not everything has to fulfill a purpose. sure, you could say, why didn't they pitch in for something useful for them? but maybe it was the best way to give the couple something to feel special. and they seem really happy. and your comment is just full of hatred and judgmeent towards the couples joices towards their family. it's easy to judge if you have burth control avaiable around the corner. they are in their 50s and managed to raise this kids as a homeless couple. not ideal but who are you in front of your screen in a first world country to judge these people?

Where is a couple like this supposed to gain access to birth control or any other family planning services? Are they supposed to never sleep with one another despite the fact it is clear they love one another and are faithful to one another? My Mom ditched me when I was 7 months old and had no other kids, she was successful, educated, and not short on money but couldn’t be bothered with the responsibility of raising a child. At least this couple raised their kids and were a great example of love and dedication. That’s more than many ‘hard working’ couples can boast of. @mihai, you’ll forgive me if I don’t base my ‘subjective opinions’ on what is clearly your subjective and deeply bitter view of the world. Your responses to this have been classist and frankly repetitive. If that’s all you know of families less fortunate then I feel sincerely sorry for you. Also when does the ‘pull out’ method actually work? Do we need to talk about pre-ejaculate and sex Ed here? That is every teenage boy’s excuse to get laid and blame the poor girl who ends up getting pregnant [and that’s in the more fortunate sect of society].

Those were my first thoughts too, but sometimes people just need something fun to make them feel more human and give them dignity. I volunteer at our local food bank, and every week, in addition to staples, we give out some kind of treat or junk food. At first this bugged me, but the director explained that having a treat or some junk food gives people dignity and tells that they deserve treats like anyone else, not only dried beans or canned corn or whatever. Everyone likes treats. It made a lot of sense to me
