Hipster Nativity Set: What Would The Nativity Scene Look Like If Jesus Was Born In 2016
Have you ever wondered what the nativity scene would look like if Jesus was born in 2016? We haven’t either. But Casey Wright did. Now, three wise men are rocking all the funny stereotypes by bringing Amazon Prime gifts on Segways, Joseph is sporting a man bun and taking a selfie, and Mary is doing the infamous “duckface,” showing a peace sign and holding a cup of latte along with the baby Jesus. All these and other small details are part of this Hipster Nativity Set.
“After a few beers, we started joking about how religions would be different if their sacred texts were set in modern times,” Modern Nativity’s founder Casey Wright said. “We have quickly found out that this Christmas decoration is very polarizing,” he claimed. “It’s usually, ‘This is hilarious, I need one,’ or ‘This is sacrilegious, I hope you burn in hell,’ and almost nothing in between those two extremes.”
The hipster-style set which features 7-inch hand-painted polyresin figurines costs $129.99. What do you think about this modern take on Bethlehem’s memorable night and the Christmas spirit?

Awww..... Nice try, but... Jesus was born in the middle east... I'm afraid if he wete to be born this year, it would have sadly looked a lot more dramatic. Considering the current... politcal-religious situation there, and the war.... Yeah, I'm not fun at parties, sorry.

I personally just want the sheep wearing a sweater as an ornament or just a figurine. It's so cute. But Jesus would be crazy screwed over if he was born this year tbh. Jewish or not with white supremacists everywhere and a war in the middle east he'd definitely have a bad time.

And possibly younger / smaller than that figurine? When somebody "gives birth" in a TV drama the baby always looks like at least 6 months old.
