Sure. Let’s restrict the potential victims of these pedophiles, and not the pedophiles themselves. Because it’s just the knees, you know, and not the fact that they’re children who could be groomed and abused. By those same pedophiles the school is trying to shield.
Ok I'm going to defend this, those school desks don't cover as you think. If a girl is sitting in the front couple rows and stretches out while wearing a skirt that comes above the knee I can see right up the skirt. It's not voluntary, it's not something you can bring up with the girls without being accused of being a pedo. I'm a woman and I find it an awkward situation to be in. These girls have the right to wear what they want, I'll defend that till the day I die but these men aren't pedos for finding these situations uncomfortable.
Can't the schools change the design of the desks then? Make a "wall" on the front side so no one can see, and everyone can stretch as they please :)

It's like my university tried to make a rule that female teaching majors couldn't show their shoulders in class because it was unprofessional and would distract students in their future classrooms. I know everyone is different, but I have never once seen a knee or shoulder that was so beautiful that I couldn't do my work.

This. Context. Environment, underaged. Those dictate something that's a no brainer. If a teenager shows up at school naked with a sign that says have sex with me, you take them aside and figure out what is happening. Understanding that that matters makes you aware of what is happening at a bar for instance. Where someone might be looking for a partner and since you are aware it is the context that makes it appropriate to assume that, you can understand your feelings and get why it is fine to ask (and still not ever ok to assume they are looking for your attention specifically).
