I'm assuming this comment was made during the freeze in February. Same group of dumbasses who blamed wind power when turbines - when properly winterized - can work in the Arctic, and it was actually natural gas pipelines that froze. People are determined to be absolute ignorant dumbasses if it fits their agenda, and to deny all inconvenient facts.
All pumps and fans require electricity. You may have solar, gas, oil, or propane for your heat, but without that electric fan to blow the hot air around your house, you’re going to be pretty f*****g cold.

Can keep gas cans on hand, not power cans to my knowledge. BUT you can run an electric car for the heater without asphyxiating so pros and cons, I guess.
I live in Texas, and during the freeze, when we lost power for four days due to ERCOTs stupidity, I had a portable battery (power can), that I plugged my modem into so that my family could all watch Netflix, keep up with the news, and whatnot. When it ran out, I plugged it into the car to recharge. Then I went into the woods behind my house to cut up dead trees to use as firewood, and shovel snow to melt to boil for drinking water and flush toilets. That was fun. It actually was kind of fun. No one in our house died, we played games, we didn't go hungry, we still lived better than a lot of people in the world.
