I have rolled my ankle. Yes it hurt. I have also endometriosis which means if I menstruate, I literally bleed internally, between my organs. And yes it hurts more.
I am sorry. Endo sucks really bad. Healthy people will never understand how deeply chronic illneses can ruin your life. Not only for the intensity of the pain (my endo pain has been the highest I evet experienced and I had several painful accidents) but also for the duration (my endo pain is most of the time moderate (6-7/10) but it is there 24/7 which can be maddening).

Well, the body can develop its own mechanism. My nephew was born without ankles and it was surgicaly corected when he was..8-9yrs, I think. I don't know the word in english, but there can develop some-kind of "fake"joint, which can substitute the ankle for some time. But yes, the surgical solution should be taken much much more sooner, than at the age of 8.

My daughter, whom will have periods when she is older, has ankles that roll like that every time she walks without her prescription shoes. I just don't get guys who try to act like women are either making up the pain or making it seem worse than it is. Do YOU have them? No? I'm a girl and beside the period pains I managed to roll both my ankles like this in a span of two days... while hopping down the stairs with my good leg after a rolled ankle on the other leg, so I ended up with two sprained ankles. Still think period cramps are worse and not only cause they come with periodic time schedule...

I did. And indeed, it hurt more than period, and I couldn't walk for a day. That having said, I do not have the tendency to injure my ankle every month and my period pains are, thankfully, mild.
But its not the case for all periods. I have broken several bones and still hurted less than my bad endo periods.

I broke my ankle in 3 places in a skateboarding accident, the white-hot pain made me pass out, never thought to compare that to period pains you know.

Depends on how bad you twist your ankle. Like the picture, doesn't hurt that much, i had worse period pain. But i did twist my ankle so bad i couldn't breathe, speak or scream, but i was in tears for couple minutes. PS: i am a woman, had really bad cramps and twisted my ankle really bad. Very bad. And broke my butt, which hurt as bad as the twisted ankle.
It also deoends on the period. I have broken several bones, had surgery and feel down stairs against a wall and out of a golfcar against concrete. Nothing has ever been as painful as my bad periods.

Broke my ankle in a car crash, needed an operation and 3 nights in hospital, period pain is still worse pain I've experienced. Glad I got effective pain medication finally at the age of 30 or 31.
What do you take? I have tried it so many things and nothing helps :( The only thing that helps a bit is tramadol but at such a high dose that the side effects dont compensate the pain relief.
