And actually according to the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development): The U.S. ranks 14th in the world in the percentage of 25-34 year-olds with higher education (42%). have an upper secondary education are just 29% -- one of the lowest levels among OECD countries. So in reality that number is WAAAAAY lower. Our education system is awful and the fact that we're SUPPOSED to be one of the most powerful (and wealthy) countries and education is put so low on our priority list is just sad.
Maybe they're still not educated enough to make a difference between number 1 and 7, which in handwriting for beginners can be pretty similar.
