Drivers Are Using Terrifying Reflective Decals On Rear Windows To Fight Against High-Beam Users
Some Chinese drivers are declaring war on tailgating vehicles with their high-beams on. The newest weapons in this road conflict are freakishly scary reflective decals, that are only visible when the driver behind activates his blinding headlamps.
Lately, these horrific prints are selling like crazy for relatively modest prices ($3-$18). They also got noticed by authorities. In Beijing, police officials say that it’s not illegal to have decals on rear windows, but such driver is likely to bear responsibility of accidents that result from scaring other drivers. However, Shandong police has a different opinion and is ready to fine these radical drivers for about 100 Chinese Yuan ($15).
What do you think about this idea?

They need to make these to reflect the light back in the driver's eyes if they are following too closely.
No, I'm very sure that would just cause car accidents.
Load More Replies..."High beams" are not always the driver's fault. What I mean is that cars these days are made with those ultra-bright lights. My buddy always gets honked at, people flashing their high beams, etc., and he just has on the factory lights.
I'm on the People in the fronts side, having ridiculously bright lights being shined on you can inhibit your vision, not to mention coming from your rear view in the dead of night,I know the factory lights are very bright, the xenon lights on the low setting will blind me at night and it aggravates me immensely, nothing like losing your sight for a couple seconds while moving down the road
Load More Replies...My truck is lifted. This makes me laugh! I always drive the speed limit despite what kind of vehicle I drive. Go ahead and tailgate me for driving the speed liit! It really helps me at night when your tiny car can help me drive at night bu highbeaming me.... Under my truck.😍😍😍
I love the concept, but I suspect this might make some people use their high beams even more frequently....just to see if they can find spooky people in the window.
The fine should go to the drivers who are riding up on people and flashing their high beams. Why is it okay for them to distract me as a driver but not CAUSE them to back off? When you're taught to drive you're taught to worry about what's in front and on the sides of you, not what's in back. High beams have a purpose and that's not it...they're the ones who should be fined.
Who taught you to drive if you weren't taught to consider what's behind you? You need to ask for a refund from your driving instructor. What's behind you is as much of a concern as what's ahead and to the sides. If people are wanting to pass you, you should allow them to pass where it's safe and not hog overtaking lanes when not overtaking. If other people want to exceed the speed limit that's up to them and you shouldn't become involved with them and try to stop them.
Load More Replies...I need one of these.. probably better to use than the mirror I've contemplated sticking in my back window. I drive to work in the dark and about half of my drive is on a dark 2 lane road. I have a lot of issues with people too close with their lights blinding me
It's too easy to just readjust your rear view mirror or change lanes. That one time an elderly couple who have trouble seeing at night gets into an accident, will make the whole idea a terrible idea.
If they have trouble seeing at night they shouldn't be on the road in the first place. They are a danger to everyone.
Load More Replies...High beams are a warning device used by people to alert you to their presence. If you're on the receiving end of them a lot you need to re-evaluate your own driving. Don't cut people up or pull out in front of people, move out of the overtaking lane when you're not overtaking and allow people who want to go faster to overtake rather than trying to enforce the speed limit. Speedometers tend to over read, so if your speedometer is reading the speed limit you're actual speed is probably a little under it. Drive considerately and don't engage with anyone who is aggressive and you may find people aren't high beaming you so often. It's better than doing something that's likely to alarm other drivers, thereby putting you and other road users in more danger.
Wouldn't the heights of the two vehicles in question have an effect on whether or not the "scary" images appear....
HELLO . guys this is a really a good and useful article to everyone. As we continue to close the gap between Win32 and Universal Windows Apps, one of the features we’ve recently introduced is the ability to activate a UWA from a command line and pass the app arbitrary command-line arguments. This is available to Insiders from build 16226. I can are less about what ppl think about it; I just want to know where the hell I can get one!!!
I'm sick of people flashing their brides at me because they think I have mine on. Any new car created in the last couple years have extremely bright lights. Not my fault so don't blind me for it because you think I'm the rude one.
I don't find this the least bit scary. Just looks like some people looking out the window......
I used to use a high wattage off road lights mounted backwards on the roll cage of my pickup. Flash those things on, and they're as blind as you are. They backed off.
Im a huge horror fan. Im sure those people out there who over use the highbeams would do it more just to see what is on the car window. I hate people who use blinding highbeams. Be courteous if u see a car in front of u just lower them cause it can cause an accident and be blinding.
I want to order some! Can't find a website that I can buy from. I found a site but it was in all Chinese. lol, Tried to use the translator but wouldn't work on the cart/check out.
So creepy pictures that one can always see is OK? And having real creepy people would be OK? It is only wrong if the mildly creepy decals show up when some A--hole is shining their brights in a person's window? I realize laws are different around the world, but that doesn't seem right. Appears to me it would be evidence that the people behind were misusing their brights, were way too close to the car in front of the (particularly at night), plus were driving pretty fast to be so surprised by the decals. (just how would the do if a deer jumps out or a tire blows?)
Anyone else notice the morbid car with "blood" dripping out the bottom of the trunk...
Unsuspecting Driver + Stickers = Screaming, followed by an accident.
haha. dont know if this will get you into troubles with the traffic control cops or not.
My stepdad used to use his mirror to fix that. If people are going to be so inconsiderate as to not think of your safety, why should you care about theirs?
Well, they kinda asked for it if they are tailgating others with their high beams, so...
