Game of Thrones Fans Think That Jon Snow Helped Arya, And These Details Allegedly Prove It (Spoilers)
Game of Thrones has slowly but surely become the ultimate ‘weapon of mass distraction,’ with nefarious goings-on in the real world getting a fraction of the analysis and understanding of the fictional battles in this insanely popular TV show.
The latest episode left many disappointed that Jon Snow seemingly didn’t do anything

He spent most of the time aimlessly flying around on a dragon

Or yelling in pain, anger or both. However, some fans think that he did much more

The latest theory to get tongues wagging is that Jon Snow actually did help to kill the night king. Just before Arya reached the Night King, Snow can be seen coming from behind his shelter to fight Viserion, the undead dragon. Apparently, he screams “Go!,” allowing Arya to pass by and do her deed.

Reddit user Applesoapp takes the credit for this massively important observation. “Jon screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King,“ they wrote.
“The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood. Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream ‘GOOOOO – GO – GO.’ Ten seconds later…you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers. Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King.”

We can see someone running in this scene where one of the white walker’s hair gets rustled up

So it seems that while Arya rightly gets the plaudits for scoring the winning goal, Jon Snow should be at least racking up an assist for his selfless act. Perhaps people will lay off him a little bit now?
What do you think? Was Jon helping Arya? Or was he just screaming at that dragon? Let us know your opinion in the comments!
Here’s how people reacted to the theory

Share on FacebookWe've seen the mother of dragons taking over whole cities and thousands of warriors, we've seen a 3-feet-high girl changing the mind of expert family leaders and then she killed a giant with one thrust, we've seen prostitutes outsmart very smart men, we've seen Cersei lead from the background and then take over, we've seen Sansa surviving abuse, only Theon had it worse, and now she's the lady of Winterfell and almost everyone listens to what she has to say, and then there's Brienne and Arya, no description necessary, just badass. Probably forgot some. Oh yeah, wildling girl! All this in a series that shows a lot of boobs, while emasculating a lot of supposedly strong men. I think arguing about feminism, when talking about GoT is misplaced, ridiculous, offensive to men and women alike, not to mention the author. He made it clear that there are strong and weak individuals in the 7 Kingdoms and gender has nothing to do with it. It's Humans vs Night Walkers, not Amazons vs Barbarians.
People that try to make this a gender war make my eyes roll back in my head farther than Bran's, when he's warging.
I don't know if the online fuss is a gender issue or a narrative issue but either way, GoT has proven before that being a strong good fair character doesn't always grant you success. Good people die and fail in the real world, I think it's great that Jon (a main character) didn't get to defeat the NK. Because changing the game it's what makes it interesting. Having the main chara kill the villain (like your standard shounen manga or hero movie) is honestly boring. It was a WAR, people help each other and thinks don't go as planned. Did Jon actually help Arya? Great! Did Arya killed the NK without Jon being invoved directly? Geat too!!! Jon has won battles before and so has Arya, so it's not taking credit away for any. Well, that's jus my opinion.
Wow... As a woman... I cringe at all the other ladies making this about gender. No, itś not about Arya being a woman and Jon a man. Why is it so hard for you to accept that they all needed each other? This war would have been lost without Sam (getting Dragonglass), Danaerys (bringing men and dragons to the fight), Jon (bringing them all together, including the Wildlings), Sansa (holding everything together in Jons absence), Tyrion and Varys (knowledge), Arya (killing the Night King).... The list goes on... Killing the Night king was the finality of it, but Arya could never have done it without the others. Everyone plays a role and not everyone is an obvious hero. I don't think Arya is either. I think she got lucky at some points (being rescued by the Hound and Beric), though the training she had made her able to sneak up on the Night King to kill him, like no one else could. I do not believe she could have taken him down in an open combat, so she used her skill set to her advantage
So then why is there a need for people to get hung up on a stupid "GO", which not even everyone can hear? There is unfortunately a pattern in this world that credits men for women's accomplishments and people searching for a fudging "GO" reeks of it. I mean is anyone arguing that Danaerys did nearly nothing in this final fight but did so so much to help Arya?
Load More Replies...Why are some people so bent on giving women's accomplishments (even fictional ones) to men? Jon wasn't the only one fighting the army of the dead, many others were too and they all helped Arya get to the NK. But Arya was the one who fought the NK one to one and killed him, so propping Jon up to share Arya's moment is annoying as hell. If she was a male character, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
Nah, I don't think Jon was yelling for Arya to "GO!" I took it as he was yelling at the dragon instead. Like, "Go, c'mon let's Go!" Egging the dragon to go and fight. But that's just me. Lol
Yeah, Jon helped him - at the beginning of the series, giving her needle and encouraging her to follow her own path. And that was probably the most important help she ever got.
All the girl power s**t comments are getting annoying. Arya killed him, period. All the chaos going on around them helped. It's not a male/female competition. It was logical that Arya kill him because he had no way of seeing her coming. Good stragegy. Stop all the silly assed gender debate.
Maybe be annoyed by the male-tears-movement who started this instead of the "girl power" people actually saying the same thing you said?
Load More Replies...show is great and almost over after a great ride of 8 years. everyone wants to write his own ending but thats only a compliment in reality for how good is the show. same thing i remember happened with another great show's last episode House MD. I am only gonna feel a bit sad and empty after GOT is over too.
Arya rocks! She has been my favorite character for a couple of seasons now. That being said, I don't think there is a poorly written character, for the most part, in the entire series. I'm just a fan so what do I know?
Also....do we know what happened to Ghost? I saw him run into the battle....😢😢😢
Jon Snow Helped, Yes! Just as others helped. All these characters all had to face strong enemies at the time of battle. Jon Snow, by comparison, could be a better choice to fight that Viserion, the undead dragon. Seems that he did have better visibility at where he was as well to see the timing of opportunity for Arya Stark or anyone close by to take action! The focus of The Night King and all his White Walkers were all on Bran. Arya was Fast Enough to bypass enemies without drawing attention, So Be It!
I am not sure what everyone is on about. This episode was awful. This series was set up around this battle, and it just wasn't satisfying. The main characters all lived (Which just isn't in the spirit of the show), the lighting made it hard to enjoy all the hard work everyone put in, they built up these major bad guys for 8 season and not only do they get killed with rather minor fatalities on the side of the living, but the NK is killed before we get any answers about his motivations. This was single handedly the worst episode they have made. They ruined the build up of 8 seasons of amazing TV in an hour and a half. There is so much girl power in this show, and I don't really care that Arya got the kill. I care that they spent what should have been the episode of a lifetime showing us dark battle scenes we can't appreciate, and then they kill the ultimate army in 5 seconds without even giving us an indication of what it was all about. It sucked, it doesnt matter who got the final kill
About 'the main characters all lived', well... somehow I think we should wait for the rest of the episodes xD It's GOT after all. And I guess at least half of the main characters won't make it to the end of the series.
Load More Replies...GOT fans always loved to find hidden things and making their own theories. I for sure laughed with joy for a straight minute or two when Arya killed Night king. But, just because Arya is a female character in a show, we fans don't get to make any theories.?John could have helped her or not, who knows. And people are making theories just because there are lots of things which are still not answered. Not because men are hurt. Let's just enjoy the show, not make it about gender war.
I would have accepted it if the theory was more than him just yelling "Go". I mean seriously? I clicked on this link to read some weird magic theory and all I got was a "he said go".
Load More Replies...I think that all the butt-hurt fanboys, who cant stand the fact that it was"a girl" that killed the Night King, are pulling every loose straw they can find to get some male involved in what was an epic final scene. I say let them have it, if they need it that much. 😆
Considering that Maisie Williams herself didn't think that Arya deserved to kill the night King, anyone who tries to put some sort of feminist slant on this is missing the point.
Wait, is THAT what all this bitching is about?
