As a former goody two shoes and gifted kid I used to believe school was perfect and they knew exactly what they were doing. Boy, was I wrong! What was your realisation about your school‘s crap?

My school once held assembly about our year’s behaviour. We had the most detentions out of the school and the headteacher was absolutely SCREAMING at us. Some of the c**p included:
•Telling the kids in the lower sets the reason they aren’t in the higher sets was because they got negative
•Forcing kids with lots of detentions to stand at the front of the hall, facing the wall in front of the whole year
• Those kids were then forced to take their shoes off and were searched by teachers
• For the next few months we had to line up after break and lunch while the rest of the school went inside, leaving us outside in the English cold missing valuable study and revision time leading up to the final exams of the year
All this because a couple of 12-13 year old got into a verbal argument and a sandwich was thrown on the floor
