I made a new friend! This is hard for me especially because I'm a socially anxious introvert that has barely any friends.

My best friend called today. We hadn't had a conversation for God knows how long. It has been pretty difficult times for both of us. We were completely depressed but did not have the courage to talk to each other. I laughed so much today.

Thinking about watching another episode of fruits basket made me smile today. 😁
Our dog came to cuddle with me in bed this morning. I love her so much.
So, I had a very toxic relationship once. I broke up with him after 2 months of being blind at just how horrible this guy was. Few weeks ago, saw my ex for the first time in a long time. That guys was just as toxic and weird as ever. He said some things to me I probably won't ever forget and it made me really depressed. Well, few days ago, this guy I have known for a long time, have been good friends with, texted me to tell me that he likes me. I didn't really know what to say, but I had to go to his house anyway for something, ended up talking to him for 2 hours, and now we are dating. I thought about my ex today, about the things he said a few weeks ago, and got kinda depressed. Bf texts me, asks me how I'm doing, I texted him back, told him I'm just a little sad today, and that I guess I would be okay later. half hour later, bf comes by, hands me flowers and totally brightens my day. I'm happy now and wearing a smile. :)
I hired a young person who was socially awkward. Most of my hires are high school students who will go on to do other things. She was so shy and uncomfortable talking to me, but I saw something in her. Hopefully, me taking a chance on her will give her confidence in the future to go do something great.

Four years ago, I knew a guy who didn't have many friends. He was really set on committing suicide, which freaked me out. Even though he wasn't one of my best friends, he was still my friend and I cared about him. I ended up telling someone that he needed help, and he never found out I was the one who got him help.
Today, in the halls of my school, he walked up to me and told me, "Today is my 15th birthday."
I wished him Happy Birthday and literally almost broke down in the halls today. Just wanted let someone know.

I do art installations for store/business windows. I was taking down a floral, summery themed display today at a health clinic, and gave several flower arrangements to some healthcare workers as I left. It made them so happy, and it was the best I've felt in over a year. Smiled all the way home.
I work in the local movie theatre and we're currently showing No Time To Die. I apologised to a couple for their wait time and joked that it was basically "the Daniel Craig effect". The husband gestures to his missus and says "she's got Daniel Craig right here!". The eye-rolling was real, haha!
