Someone climbed on top of a walkway 9 stories up to walk across to the courthouse and spray paint a poorly fashioned anarchy symbol. The dedication to be up 100 feet open to the elements and in the dark is impressive.

I was wondering why, my entire life, people either don’t listen when I speak, or have no interest in me, other than when they need or want something from me. Even at nearly 55, I can still get hurt.

I'm wondering if I should let a toxic friend go and risk losing good friends to a rumor she might start about me.
Advice from an old lady. If you have to let go of the Toxic person and the “good friends” go with them, were they really the “good friends” you needed/wanted/hopes, they would or could be. As for the rumor? Ask yourself, is it a cheap baseless rumor, or is it a truth you wish you hadn’t confided to this person, who twisted it because THEY needed/wanted to have attention and chose you to be the victim.. I have an entire neighborhood believing something about me that is simply not true. So I understand. Here if you need a shoulder or ear to bend. Someone here in fact reminded me that I count and am strong. So I am paying that forward. - thank you Kio!
