When I was small my dad used to tell me about George, the giant tortoise ,from The Galapagos Islands. I have always wanted to go there....Well 2 years ago my dream came true and we went on a 10 day cruise around the islands. We went to the tortoise sanctuary where we saw all the giant tortoises' but alas no George, he had died. He was, however, stuffed? taxedermed ? and they had taken DNA from him.I was so sad my dad couldn't have been there.

The Amazon! I've been fortunate to have travelled A LOT, but so far, Brazil is the only country I have said I would like to go back to because I felt like there was still more to see.

My birthday. We had some friends I haven't seen in a LOOOOONG time come. We stayed socially distant, but it was AMAZING!!! I woke up on my birthday and there were balloons on the floor and streamers in the hallway!

I spent a year traveling around Southeast Asia, using Bangkok as my base. Five years later I moved to Bangkok and sang in the choir for the Bangkok Opera, and in the Bangkok Music Society as well. I was there for the coup, and Government House was just a handful of blocks from my neighborhood. I ended up moving back to San Francisco after being in Thailand for nearly a year, during which time I traveled to all different parts of the country and absolutely fell in love with Isaan. I did all of my visa runs to and from Laos because it took me through Nong Khai, which is a town I was very fond of before they tore down all the old teak homes and businesses in the main part of town.

Probably childhood summers spent with my mum, grandma, aunt, uncle and cousins catching Brown crabs by hand among the rocks (luring them with fish), and then going back to the house to cook and eat them. (And of course there would be card games or quizzes in the evening)

When in 2017, I was 9. My parents took me to Europe. We spent a week in England. When we got to Paris, we w t to the Eiffel Tower and there was a Lamborghini. I went up to the car and touched it then the owner asked me if I wanted to go for a spin. I did not understand him but my mom did and she told me what the guy said. I was so happy.
