Let's see if any of them can beat Umbridge!

I have never been strong in mathematics, so while in my high school days of course I struggled. Took the bull by the horns and took remedial and standard math classes for three semesters in a row. That is four hours of class a day for a year and a half, just for better college application. My major teacher was having a rough day, and I'm a yatterer in lessons. One day he has enough, raises his voice at me mid lecture and calls me a d**k, and openly tells me that if he possibly could get away with it, he would right them and there love to punch me directly in the face. In front of twenty or so of my peers. He was twice my size almost twice my age, and a long time rugby/football coach. I scraped by with enough to apply to college. A few years later he calls it quits and works the family business selling prefaces carriage houses. Still does I imagine. I'm a cook and always have been. So much frustration for both of us, and neither of us has used the lessons for any real applications.

The school I went to gave awards to teachers for things like;
The least student days lost through illness.
The most school fees collected in the shortest time.
The most money collected for favored charities.
Our grade 5 teacher considered all awards HERS OR ELSE, making life hell for anyone sick or poor.Coming from a poor family I still occasionally have nightmares about that woman.

I had this art teacher that would have us draw the same exact thing as everyone else and the example and if it wasn’t on the dot perfect you didn’t get an A. There was practically no room for creativity, in an ART class.

I have two.

The first was in fourth grade. Every time she corrected my work, she wouldn't explain what I'd done wrong. She'd write "SEE ME" in red ink and then make me wait until after school to lecture me about what I'd done wrong. I'm sure that's why I have anxiety issues forty years later.

The second was in tenth grade. A teacher kissed me while we were alone in the classroom after school. I was mortified and confided in a friend, who in turn reported the incident. The teacher denied it and I was derided by school administrators for "making it up". The teacher went on to become a principal at another school and I hate him to this very day.
