All of them? It’s hard to pick a “worst” when they could all count. The time I fell asleep outside because the sperm donor didn’t show? The time I was locked in a closet full of bugs for hours? The time I had chicken pox (and was forced to live in a camper outside with no electricity) so I couldn’t see my grandpa even though he was dying? Or watching EMTs beat on his lifeless corpse through a screen door on the porch while they were trying to resuscitate him? Or how the day after he died I had an ant crawl in my ear and permanently damage my eardrum? Sticking in the same time frame, 2 weeks later I stopped eating and lasted 7 days before the ambulance came for me. Then I intentionally gave my mom shingles hoping she would die. Ugh. I was an angry 8 year old. Feel like I’m dating myself here but I think I could place in a competition for worst childhood overall. I wouldn’t win. But I could definitely place.

Mine isn't very bad but I was biking with my friends (I was like 8) and one thing you should know about me is that I am terrified of bees. There is this one spot in my neighborhood that is infested with bees and my friend biked down there so I followed her. I saw the bees and lifted my feet off the pedals so the bees couldn't get my legs (I wasn't very bright.) I hit a rock and went FLYING. I flew into the road and skidded across to the other side. (My knees still have scars) My friend didn't notice and kept on biking. A few minutes later she came back, looking panicked and pedaling at full speed. Bad idea. BAM! She hits a pothole and lands on my bleeding legs. We are just a tangled mess of crying children at that point. She called her mom and she picked us up. My knees were all scabbed for the first day of school. D:

My paternal aunt died when I was eleven. We were very close. Her most prized possession was a Chicago Cubs ball cap given to her by D**k Ellsworth (pitcher) at the only game she was able to attend (she had brain cancer). She gave it to me on Easter Sunday, one week before she died. I didn’t speak or go to school for over a week.

I was about 8 years old and and my family used to storage water in a big plastic barrel that we used to shower with in the summer. One day I was yelling at everyone from outside saying “ don’t come outside because I’m going to shower and I’m going to be naked!”. I started showering when I felt that someone was watching me. I looked behind me and there was my 40 something year old married pedofile neighbor watching me. I’ve never felt so violated.
