There is no shame in ignorance, the only true shame is to willingly remain ignorant. My uncle drilled that into my head as a kid
Don’t hold grudges or hurl hate at people even if they wronged you and are terrible humans. Hate will only bring you unhappiness. What I do (strange but true because it makes me feel better) is I take them out of my sphere of protection. I also envision a mirror that bounces all of the hate they project right back to them. Wishing bad things upon others sometimes brings you misfortune as well. Just let it go as hard as that can be sometimes

Keep your mind opened to new ideas, but always do your research before coming to a decision about believing in something or suppirting something. Always know all the facts. And above all, don't be afraid to think for yourself.
