what's the scariest dream you've had?

#1

I had this dream a few days ago but hands down scariest. Now like a horror movie scary. A different scary. A gross scary. This purple blob was watching me through a crack in the door. As I used the, uh, the, imma say loo. This honestly really freaks me out and, since dreams have meaning, wtf is the meaning.

I dream I lived in a country full of entitled, angry, overly armed and paranoid a—holes. Wish I could wake up from it.

Hey pandas! I will go first. This is a pretty common nightmare to have, but it's dreaming about your own loved ones death. I was dreaming and all the sudden it turns into this brutal murder scene. It doesn't seem like much, but it seemed pretty real, especially considering it was my best friend.

The one dream that immediately comes to mind is one from 2 decades ago. I dreamed that I was at this campsite with my family and my best friend and her family. It was nighttime and everyone was running like crazy. There was a searchlight like from a helicopter, but there was no helicopter. You had to stay out of the light. If you were caught by the light you’d vanish.

I woke up so terrified that I didn’t dare to turn on my bed light, but was also scared sh*tress because it was so dark in my bedroom. Took a couple of minutes before I turned on my bed light and took a lot longer to feel like nothing could happen and it was just a dream…

For background, my dad and I are in Boy Scouts. He is the Scoutmaster. We were going over water rescues in our pool and he decided to be the victim and, me being like 10 was not able to pull him up. He was fine, but it scared the heck out of me. Now for the next week, I always had this one nightmare that kept repeating, but always different situations. One I specifically remember is my dad doing dishes and he put his head in the water. For whatever reason, he wasn’t able to pull his head up and, like in the pool in real life, I couldn’t help him. In every dream, he dies and I have to watch it happen, unable to do anything. Even writing this right now makes me anxious that it will happen again but for real.
