My sister recently had a Y2k party where everyone dressed in late 90s, early 2000s clothes. She asked everyone to bring tinned food (like people stock piled fearing the end of the digital world) that could be donated to charity. All the food was classic kid's birthday food from that time period, like fairy bread, sausage rolls, jelly cups. At the end of the night we played footage of the fireworks from NYE 1999.
