I know there are seasoned veterans of adulthood over here, and I'd love to hear (or read, in this case) what you have for me.

Oh, and one more thing: I'm new here, so hi!

Start to take your health seriously. It's so easy to ignore any discomfort when you're young and it's a given that everyone feels invincible at times but it only gets harder to get any issue under control as you get older. Pay attention to the signs your body gives you. When you need to rest, do so. If that delicious looking dish disagrees with you, avoid it. A few changes now make a huge difference down the road. It seems like idiotic or 'captain obvious' advice, I know, but it's harder to remember to take care of you when in the moment.

And try to exercise if you can. Not everybody has the time or health to exercise but unless you have some medical conditions (like Ms) it is usually good to try to do it. Even if it’s something like yoga or walking.

Realize that you're making small choices about your life every day. Be aware of the fact that you make these choices in your life. Little by little you'll end up somewhere thanks to them. If you refuse to make conscious choices, you'll still end up somewhere, but much less in control of your fate—not making choices is still a choice.

There’s no way to run away from frustration, you just need to understand which kind of frustration you want to handle with and how to get over it. There’s no growth if you don’t put yourself outside of your comfort zone. The more you think you know, the less actually you know. Be humble and empathetic, always

SAVE MONEY!!!!!!!!!
You have no idea how to budget (even if you think you do!).
Don't spent a whole pay check in one weekend partying.
You are at your most free but also most vulnerable! Credit is going to offered often, be mindful of how quickly it can become debt.

They say 'your school years are the best years of your life'! They lied, your early 20's are the ones you will remember most, so just do what you enjoy.

Now is the optimum time to cut-loose friends that are no good for you. Neither of you will probably notice that much.

You’ll find some relationships (aka: Friendships) dissipate or you find you may have to let go of and that is ok. You may start to notice some patterns in your personality and how you react to situations, with introspection and work you can adjust if what you do doesn’t make you happy. Always take time for mental health and growth. 20’s I find to be the most freeing and yet the most challenging as you will be getting your footing. Also… you are not too old to start learning something new and become an expert at it.

Get in the habit of saving money. If you get $1,009 a month, don’t spend it all and put some of it away, even if it’s $10.

Never stop improving yourself. Reading books is one way to do it.
The more knowledge you have, the better equipped you are to tackle any challenge you'll ever face.

Get as much affairs in order as possible to prepare you for independence with peace of mind.
If you don't have insurance at your job yet, set yourself up with an affordable health insurance agency.
Don't give yourself deadlines for things like when you start and complete post-secondary school, get married, buy a house. Instead, envision your goals and continuously work towards them. There's something to be said about manifesting your dreams.
Don't beat yourself up when things go awry. This is life and you're not alone in your struggles and no one is walking the same beat.

Advice from my father.

1. Work smarter, not harder.
2. The hurrier I go, the behinder I get.
3. You will learn something new everyday. If you didn't learn something new, you weren't paying attention!
