For me it's the stress, because I need to stop what I'm doing like every 2 minutes, to do something different, then get back to what I was doing before, to get disturbed a minute later ... all day long. Despite my really horrible boss, who's changing her mind like always and accusing me of literally everything that's wrong, even if it's concerning her own health

“Sitting is the new smoking”…so they say. I work 9 hour shifts, sat down. I’m monitored for how much work i do and the targets are so hard to hit, that i feel I’m unable to get up because i won’t be productive. My posture is getting worse, I’m gaining weight and I’m too anxious to exercise at home or elsewhere. My health concerns grow every day. I know what i ‘should’ do, but I don’t have the courage or mental strength.

So many things that could kill a person. Falling into a well of sewage, off of a 60 ' high antenna, asphyxiation from various kinds of gas while in a tank, pipe or well. Something falling on me and squishing me. All that on top of the biohazards from working in wastewater.

"Sleep deprivation"
Used to be some kind of torture...
Well, I work now for a company where shifts start at 03 AM!
I go to bed at 0730pm, and must thank my family for their understanding.
I try to sleep 6 hours per night, not always well, but at the end of the week, I'm a wreck.
Job was ok when I was young, now in my fifties, I feel like 70.
But hey, I got a job...

Used to work in a grocery store deli. We were trained (video courses on computers) on how to use the steel chainmail gloves while using the meat slicers, but the gloves weren't anywhere on the premises. There was no air conditioning or even proper airflow back in the deli corner, and we weren't allowed to have any kind of personal hydration. On the hottest week of the summer we had to hide in the walk-in freezer for our breaks, and even when we weren't on break, or risk passing out from dehydration or heat exhaustion.
