Speaking as an American teen, we need gun restrictions. In fact, the Second Amendment as a whole should be repealed. Why?
Because of the tragedy that happened in Buffalo, New York last week, where a man took a gun and shot 10 black people, for the purpose of seeing just how many black people he could kill before he was caught.
Because of what just happened at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, where a man went on a rampage and fatally shot 18 children and 3 adults. The children were in grades 2-4.
School should be safe. I shouldn't have to fear for my life every time I step into that building. Kindergarteners shouldn't have to be told that at any time a stranger could break into the school and kill them. Second-graders shouldn't have to be asked to stay and fight the intruder with a gun. Children shouldn't have to practice hiding from a murderer in a place where they should be safe.
Other countries have figured it out. Some had one shooting and then restricted guns. Some had no shootings. America has had over 2000 since 1970. Thousands of children who will never go home again. Thousands of parents who will never see their child again.
Imagine the mother who was just told at work that her 5-year-old son was shot and killed in his classroom. Imagine the father who was called at home and told that his little girl wasn't coming home. Put yourselves in their places. Now multiply that by two thousand.
Yes we have the freedom to bear arms. Why does that mean we have the freedom to be slaughtered?
We bear arms to protect ourselves and criminals would not care about the law because they were already breaking the law to begin with
Okay this ones kinda dumb but it pisses me off.
When people dont fact check. I see it so often and I just want to smack them.
Heres an example.
I'm a big fan of SCP's. For those of you who don't know what those are, understandable, not many people do. I'll give you a short explanation. An SCP is an anomalous entity who has been contained by a worldwide federation know as the SCP Foundation. In the SCP universe they are contained to protect regular humans from being harmed by their anomalous properties. Some SCP'S are more dangerous than others but I'm not going to give you the whole classification system.
That's not what I'm here to complain about.
One of my favourite SCP'S is SCP-076-2. He's a grumpy bastard but I like his concepts.
This is his physical description.
'lean Semitic human male in his late twenties. Hair is black, eyes are gray, skin tone olive. Subject stands at 8 feet tall and is 1.96m in height.'
Theres more but you don't need to hear that.
Heres the part that bothers me.
'EIGHT feet tall and is 1.96 meters in height.:
1.96 metres.
Is Six. Foot. F*****g. Four.
Just an example, like I said. But still. This problem isn't political. Its not a matter of anything important. But it pisses me off and I can't do anything about it.
