Sure, the drawing is sending the wrong message but the title is in the right place. "Please eat less meat". Surely, you don't need to eliminate animal products completely if you don't want to, but it wouldn't hurt most people to reduce the consumption of it and not eat it all day, everyday, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We need animals to survive, but being carnivorous means eating both animals AND plants. ~Coming from a fellow carnivore

I live In India and 60% population here lives without meat and we are healthy and happy.... We have an amazing diet with lots of milk , Lentils , Flax seeds , Mushrooms and lots of vegetarian food that has protein , and I haven't killed any animal. I can survive without killing animals , So can you
Yup! And if you think about it just look at how a human is designed. No claws no sharp teeth. We can’t run as fast as animals. We were not built to hunt and kill animals! So than how do eat than people ask? We eat stuff on the ground like flipping plants and veggies! And nuts and fruit!

You can support animal rights and still eat meat. Nature is brutal, and animals kill other animals every day. Even deer eat baby birds sitting helplessly in their nests. I support the concept of giving livestock a healthy happy life, free of stress. For example, I'm happy to pay the extra price and always do for free-range eggs.
Well, no. You can eat meat and support animal welfare, but not animal rights. Animal rights is the concept that animals shouldn't be used. Animal welfare is the concept that animals can be used but it should be humane. So you're thinking of animal welfare.

I don't really agree with the part where you said you can eat meat and support animal rights. I mean if you buy animal product you are supporting the slaughter and exploitation of animals. You are right that animals die everyday but that is naturally, its the cycle of life. But humans have broken that cycle and farm animals just to kill them which is also horrible for the environment. I do agree with the last part though but that is eggs not meat.
I guess it depends on what "rights" we are talking about... right to a dignified life, yeah. "right to be free of slaughter"... no I suppose not. But as I said, nature is cruel, and the animal would have died of predation, starvation or disease, none of which is a pleasant way to go. By comparison, our slaughtering methods can be merciful in comparison (can be, and should be). So I feel no shame for the slaughtering of animals, as long as it is done ethically. As for exploitation, that's a human concept that the animal is completely unaware of, and doesn't care about. An animal doesn't philosophically ponder if "freedom" is a better option than being in a gilded cage.

What does that have to do with love? I didn't even say that I care. I just said I support animal rights. I believe that it is ethical to treat livestock with respect and allow them to have a happy stress-free life (and a painless stress-free death). That's a better deal than they would get in the wild. Unfortunately, much of the world's livestock is raised in horrible conditions... and we should stop that.

Mike, no they are not! If this person monitors their Vegan/Vegetarian diet carefully there won't be any deficiencies. In the past, meat was the only way to get nutrients, but times have changed! NEWSFLASH: Protein can be found in Lentils at 17.86 g per CUP, Kale and Carrots are is very high in Vitamin A and you can get Vitamin D from Spinach, Okra and the Sun! Actually some things we eat as vegetables in fact grows flowers if not eaten. Most cultivated flower plants aren't very nutritious tough, or even poisonous, and there's better plants to eat.

Just because you can't understand doesn't make it not true. I absolutely love animals and don't like animal cruelty but I do know that there is a circle of life and that humans generally need a balanced diet to stay healthy. Or you need to substitute with synthetic nutrients to prevent deficiencies, which is far from natural. You can still be an activist for animal welfare and still eat them. Animals deserve better living conditions and treatment in the farming industry, most people will agree with that. Give them a good life, however short and then kill them quickly so they don't suffer.

Once , When I was 4 , I saw man kill a chicken in a shop and I hugged my grandmother as tight as I could. I was too disturbed. I cried and Asked her about it. She told me that it's ok and some people eat them. I was sooo shocked.. i was too innocent. I asked her ," If I ever do this , Will God be mad at me ?" . She didn't say anything. Great pictures! Love seeing the younger set being more thoughtful about WHERE food comes from. I drew pictures just like this as a kid. I Think the -21 downvotes are pretty gross, but expected. Just because you can't understand doesn't make it not true. I absolutely love animals and don't like animal cruelty but I do know that there is a circle of life and that humans generally need a balanced diet to stay healthy. Or you need to substitute with synthetic nutrients to prevent deficiencies, which is far from natural. You can still be an activist for animal welfare and still eat them. Animals deserve better living conditions and treatment in the farming industry, most people will agree with that. Give them a good life, however short and then kill them quickly so they don't suffer.

Once , When I was 4 , I saw man kill a chicken in a shop and I hugged my grandmother as tight as I could. I was too disturbed. I cried and Asked her about it. She told me that it's ok and some people eat them. I was sooo shocked.. i was too innocent. I asked her ," If I ever do this , Will God be mad at me ?" . She didn't say anything. She just said ," Its about karma , Who knows !! Maybe in their next birth , The people who eat them , Become a chicken themselves and get eaten by a human." And also , Im from radha soami beas. And its my religion. According to it , killing anything is wrong, So i was just telling what I was taught since childhood :(

Great pictures! Love seeing the younger set being more thoughtful about WHERE food comes from. I drew pictures just like this as a kid. I Think the -21 downvotes are pretty gross, but expected.
