I’ve always been so curious as to who actually wins HGTV’s Dream Home Giveaway, and it got me thinking of other cone tests. I would love to know your experiences please!

Not me but a friend went on a local lottery show. Won something like 20 thousand. His family owns a small corner market. He bought an ATM machine. He set the fee. Makes an insane amount of money from that.
Won a bike at a radio contest. It has traveled with me across multiple countries and I am still using it 12 years later.
I was in 5th grade in the 1970s, and I listened to the same radio station constantly(KFRC). In the afternoon/evening, they would have one of those “fifth caller wins if you answer the question correctly” contests. I was ready and called in, redialing every time I got a busy signal. I got through and was the correct caller, and got the question “who is the morning dj from 8-10AM?” My answer (Dr. Don Rose) was correct and I won $100. That was a lot for a little kid but it was just in time for a local comic convention, so I had plenty of money for comics.
