i actually tried to run away last year (15yo) and I had an entire plan and I left a note in my room for my parents lmao
I wanted to but the consequences of getting caught and brought back home would have been so much worse so I never did. I'm not talking about my mom punishing me, no...no it would have been much worse by those not her. My dad was 2 states away. No, there were things in my life growing up that would have made everything worse.
Man even thinking about this as a grown adult has me thinking at the response those two would have had makes me break out in goosebumps. Before anyone asks if going to my dad's would have been better it wouldn't, trust me I almost died the one and only time I lived with him, and no it wasn't him, besides one of the two monsters could have followed me there.
I was about 3 years old and had an argument with my mom. So I said that I would run away. My mom said oké... and I was halfway through the garden and I heard her lock the backdoor. I screamed and cried that she had to let me in again. She did. Never tried to run away again
One time when I was 5 I was mad at my mother for some stupid reason I don't remember. I packed my favorite book, 2 cheese sticks and a spare change of socks all in one plastic bag. when I was leaving I tripped on the rug and everything spilled out. went straight back to my room.
