I've low blood pressure so I've fainted quite a few times. Fainting is... liberating. I felt as if all my worries and burdens were being shed and I was free at last. The feeling was incomparable, pure bliss. But then there's coming to. It's the worst. I felt like I was hauled slowly and shackled with more weight than I could handle. My arm weighed about a ton and my head was too heavy to support.
Therefore, I recognize the signs of passing out early and prevent it by sitting down and putting my head between my legs because gaining consciousness sucks. If dying is like fainting but not coming back, I don't mind it at all.

I've always been curious as to how it felt. Thanks for sharing.

The first time I fainted I was about 14 years old. I have been working at a veterinary clinic and the doc asked if I wanted to watch a puppy birthing via C-section. The first cut with a scalpel and I was down. I woke up with my head between my legs and as I looked up, I saw someone holding a duck to my right. I then proceeded to throw up right there. Pretty sure they sent me home for the day.

I had skipped lunch and was volunteering. My vision started to get cloudy and white. I woke up and my vision was blurry. But I could tell that there were people around me like on movies. I heard people talking saying stuff about ambulance and more paper towels. My vision kind of cleared and my mom told me to keep eye contact with her so I wouldn't pass out again, because I really just wanted to close my eyes and rest. I put my hand to my face and it came away covered in blood. Someone grabbed my hand and wiped it off. I realized something was wrong. My mom helped me sit up and someone brought over a chair for me. The ambulance came and I got on the bed thi g and was brought to the ambulance. They took my blood sugar and cleaned the cut. They said I should go get stitches or glue. Me and my mom walked to our car and my siblings were there. We went to the hospital and I got my blood sugar taken again and another test. She said I was dehydrated. She cleaned the cut and glued it.

I faint on a regular basis due to multiple neuropathies. The autonomic part causes what my doc described as 'blood pressure just bottoms out'. I've learned to get up slowly, don't stand or hold something if things look hazy, and my son always grabs my arms if my face gets a blank look.

I was about 22 and went to donate blood. Now this is an example of not being smug. I watched a woman faint and be revived while I was waiting to donate. I remember thinking to myself "ha ha, at least I've never done that!". Sure enough, after my donation I went down, hard. My contacts even both popped out! I think it was because at the time I was way too thin for my height. At almost 5 ft 7 I only weighed 111 lbs. The weirdest thing was though that when I was out I remember being surrounded by a small group of people. They were so happy with me and so encouraging! They told me how proud they were of me and how I was on the right path. So much love! It was very strange. I don't think I was out of it for long and when I woke up I was a little disoriented and of course I couldn't see (no contacts). But I'm pretty sure the group told me I had to start eating more. I did and never passed out again, lol, If anything they'd probably tell me to cut back and stop drinking beer!

Been there. Did not eat breakfast before donating blood. Sat up and went down.

When I was pregnant with my 2nd, I was shopping, my 2 year old in the buggy. I started feeling weird, my mouth was sticky dry, everything was turning black. I tried to move to the side to rest for a minute when but I fainted. I fell and took by son and the buggy down with me. My blood pressure had bottomed out as well as my glucose level.

So this is the first and only time I’ve ever fainted. I was sitting in science class and about halfway through my stomach started feeling really terrible. It felt like I had bad period cramps, but I wasn’t on my period, so I was really confused as well as sick. After a while I realised that I might throw up and I did NOT want to hurl in front of my science class.
I stood up and said I was going’s to get some air but the second I did my vision started clouding over until all I could see was just pure white. When it unclouded I couldn’t really process much but I ended up going to sickbay and then leaving for the day. I didn’t even realise I had fainted until the lady asked me if I had and someone else said “Of course they did, the science floor dust is all over them.” I didn’t know whether to find this funny or disturbing at the time. It was kinda funny tho because around break time at school I had about 6 different people text me, panicking.

Not me, but my daughter. She was about 10 years old. She was trying to put her earring in her pierced ear and was having trouble, so I offered to help. As I got closer to getting it in, she started moving away from me. I said, "You gotta stay still!" Little did I know she was in the middle of a faint. She fell over like a tree away from me so I had no chance to break her fall. I freaked out and felt so bad!

I went to church without eating or drinking anything, maybe just water ( I don't remember well) after the service ended, I was feeling really hungry and told my sister (we usually go for lunch before going back home) but she was busy conversing with people, so I waited and waited but couldn't take it anymore, I experienced hypoglycemia (according to my sister-she was a medical student at that time- a doctor now.)

I had a weird feeling in my stomach, and felt like I couldn't carry my own weight so I took a step back to lean on the wall but before I did my vision darkened and all I could see was small white dots.

Without realizing it I passed out.
When I regained consciousness, I heard people talking but my vision was still darkened, then I was lifted and walked to seat and that's when my vision cleared.

I remember that the floor was somehow comfortable(?!) And I didn't want to wake up, I thought I was asleep at home and was wondering why people were waking me up.

I passed out outside the temple and it was mostly not wet but humid mud that's why it was comfortable.

Hope you're fine now, and congratulations to your sister for becoming a doctor.

My boyfriend kissed me
And it revived so much of my trauma that I fainted

It happened at Sunday Mass in a Catholic Church of all places. I was 12 years old and my periods have always been super heavy so a mix of blood loss, incense, and 90 degree heat caused me to pass out right in the pew. Needless to say a few friends who were at this particular service had a running joke for a while that I was a demon.

I was 16, at a mall kiosk. Hadn't eaten and tbh, was really high. No memory of fainting, just waking up looking at the two earring display trees i managed to not hit on my way down. Got up, drank some water and went home.

High school, science class, we had those raised up tables and the barstools that can roll around. So we were in the middle of a lecture, I just started feeling weird like headache, nausea, all that. I asked to get water from my bag which was outside, my teacher told me to wait a few, I leaned forward and just new something was wrong. It all started going black and next thing I new I was on the floor of the science class. I had a bruise on my head, cheek, and a cut up mouth from braces ( dang things). Long story short I was only out like 3 seconds, but the funniest part was as I walked out the classroom one kid stared me dead in the eye and whispered, I though you were dead. Best part of the whole deal
