9.3Mviews
Someone asked “Women of Reddit, what has been your worst ‘nice guy’ experience?”, and this person just shared the most feel good story ever.
According to the post, a guy who goes by the username ThrowAwayForPancakes, overhead a girl being threatened by her date at a restaurant. Apparently, he was being a complete douchebag and saying some pretty disturbing things, so ThrowAwayForPancakes decided to step in. But just as he was about to get up and intervene, he was stopped by an older man, and the whole situation took an unexpected twist. Keep on scrolling to see what happened…

Here's My Question? How someone else could have been involved in a situation like this, without such a civil authority? Not many of us has Police IDs and most of the time when crap like this occurs there's no officers of law is present. I've overheard dozens of conversations like that and even has put my hands in a few as well. To be honest, hasn't gone very well for me on the ground situation!
If you are with another woman (gf, wife, mother, sister or other) you can wait for the guy to go to the toilets or smoke a cigg or whatever and go to offer your help to the girl, offer to drop her home or to the police station to fill a complain. If you are alone, it's better to ask the restaurant staff to call an officer, explaining them that there is someone threatening a girl and that you are scared for her safety. Stay there until they arrive so you can be a witness of the events. If no such situation happen (you're out and there is no authority figure to help you or no way to talk to the girl alone) then just step in, offer the girl a chance to run away and talk to the man about his behavior and how you're not letting this happen. Whoever hits first is the punishable one so stay calm and just offer her a chance to hide somewhere. Afterwards, if you manage to make him leave, encourage her to fill a police complain in which you can be called as a witness, leaving her your details.
If you decide to personally intervene, you could also take the guy's picture as soon as you walk up to the table, so you have a picture for the police on the off chance that the name he gave the girl is fake. And tell him you took his picture.
Thank you, that's the user manual for those situations.
This is wonderful well thought out advice. Thanks so much for posting it here.
For a moment I was confused as to why you shouldn't intervene directly if you're alone... but of course it's because you're a stranger and she won't want to go off with someone she doesn't know (especially if male - that's just how it is). Anyway, thanks for this. I was wondering the same thing.
Thank you.

Do you use a pay~pal ? in the event if you do you can get an extra 1400 every week to your profit just working on the internet five hours each day.. go to Good luck______________ http://cutt.us/jrtqu
If you get an opportunity to find out what car they came in, take a pic of his license plate, too.
As a female, you can go up to the table, state you're feeling unwell and ask the young lady to help you to the bathroom. Once in there, she can decide if she wants to call a relative or the cops, or simply leave by the staff door.
Well I'm a woman and I have gotten involved more than 2 or 3 times. You just have to.
Showing them both that she is not alone is key. Take pics of the guy and call 911 if you see them ready to leave. Follow them out to his car and take pics of the license plate and let her know she can stay with you until the police or a friend can come get her. If you are a solo male, do not offer her a ride home. Offer to stay with her IN PUBLIC until someone can come get her. Let the guy know you heard him, that you have pics (involve the restaurant, they have his credit/debit card details, and ask them to save a glass he drank from for fingerprints/DNA) and willing to be a witness. Tell him you're not leaving the young lady and he can either walk away or the he can talk to the police when they arrive (whether you've called them already or not). Proof is what these guys think no one has. In the face of numerous witnesses and the police, he will most likely just go home. Defending her or yourself isn't wrong. But let him be the one who puts his hands on you first.
excellent suggestions
Well, I'm a woman and I have gotten involved more than two or three times.
The fact that you know you could get your ass beaten proves you're a good man.
That is exactly the point, no? It is not your place; you have not been trained. You could call them in, and should.
If you have a cell phone call the cops yourself. Don’t call through 911. Call the local dispatcher and explain exactly what has been happening. Now if it were me I would call the cops and talk loud enough that the guy could here me while sending my 6’2” tall 300 lb husband over to safely extract the girl and assure that the jerk paid the bill.
Thank God for people like you who at least try!
That man is just what he is badge or no badge- just a decent human being and a father. I bet that even without his badge he'd have gone to that asshole and scare the hell our of him.
simple....have a spine and a pair that clank when you stand up. I know plenty of females that have gotten involved in situations like this as well without being a peace officer. 90% of the time, you just have to put a little fear into the bullies head to make them cower. The other 10 percent of the time, well, sometimes you have to sock a fool in the jaw to get a point across.
You'll have to get into a physical fight. No shame in that. Fighting is part of life.
As the first guy said: be willing to put the jackass through a wall.
I think the policeman's answer was perfect !
I agree. My hats off to him

Do you have a pay pal account... because if you do you can add an extra 1600 week after week in your pay only working on the internet for a couple of hours each day. check out this site Good luck_________ http://cutt.us/yeEfA
I had goosebumps & might cry a little ;) What a wonderful story and wonderful man... If only all men were like that cop. Unfortunately most of the guys I know are more like that douche :/ Bad luck, I guess...
Maybe not just luck...
@Michał Jastrzębski no-one EXPECTED anything. Where'd you get that idea?

How many times have you stood up for another woman? I can say. ZERO! So, Don't preach :)
@Vinit, she doesn't preach anything. Try read again, without that stupid smile.

so, you expect to every man put his physical safety (and possible charges too, if things go wrong!) on the line for you , for nothing in return?
You're the asshole douche bag on the date, aren't you?
What exactly would you expect in return? Who even asks? All that would happen with you is..she would escape one pricks hands just to fall into another. What a douch.
@Michał, what do you mean - for nothing in return?! If you WANT TO help, you will help without thinking about anything else. If you can't, or don't want to help-you will not help. Would you think about "what she can give me in return?", if you see that someone is in trouble?! I can't believe how awfully selfish and inconsiderate you sound. Your question is funny in the creepiest way I can think of.
Note to self: don't let a blind date know where you live.
NEVER EVER!
YES -always have them pick you up somewhere other then your home, work. That's always a good idea!
Don't have them pick you up at all - meet them somewhere
Thumbs up! Wish random cops would pop up more often here and there! They sure as hell are needed, especially with this kind of attitude.

You might not say that if you were an unarmed black kid mindimg your own business
Really? Don't do anything to make yourself a target Roed Banda!!
Right?
Wow I'm more impressed that this young man remembered all that was said verbatim! AND it's on the internet = must be true.
Guess I missed the part that said it was verbatim. I just thought the guys was telling an experience he witness.
I remember hearing about this like in high school (1987)
Creative licensing... it's something that's been going around like forever, even before the Internet... 😳🙄
This is fake news ! First the girl could have just told this guy off and called family or friends for a ride. Also what crime did the scumbag in the story do? Such bullcrap to make you love hero cops.
I'll take "things that didn't happen" for 1000, Alex.
BTW kindly explain to me why anyone would make up such a story in the first place. What does he have to gain from it? He didn't even make himself out to be the hero, and it was submitted anonymously.
It's like when someone tells someone else a story and then that person tells another person but adds a little to it and sensationalises it more and more as it's told... Way before the internet, I remember hearing about something along these lines back in high school (1987).
Ina, this was posted on Reddit... the chances are someone posted it because they wanted uploads and "Karma" which is basically a "how good of a person are you and how much good stuff are you bringing to the forums" kind of system... Chances are very likely this is faked, there is a reddit forum called Hope we never meet again where people recount stories of creepy scenarios that happened to them. Most of them being so absurd that they are undeniably fake... and others just outright stupid. Either this man saw this happen and added more onto it, or it's faked. And chances are it's fake.
Why the fuck do you bother to read these stories if you staunchly refuse to believe they happened? Oh, right, you're a troll. My bad. If you honestly believe it didn't happen, well guess what? You're not allowed to cry "fake" without any evidence to support your bullshit claim. Just because YOU would never stand up for an innocent person doesn't mean the rest of us are as cold-hearted as you.
He's not a troll just because he says something you don't like Ina, stop being immature. He is obviously just being skeptical, the story is a tad too romanticized to possibly be true - the "Hold it son, I got this" is a pretty big cop-out. Your immaturity is honestly somewhat baffling... also him crying fake without evidence is within his right, he doesn't have the burden of proof. The poster has the burden of proof, the one putting out the positive claim has the burden of proof, that is how it works. You don't have any proof that this isn't fictional writing.
Sorry. I don't buy it.
Nor should you... For those who are spouting the bullshit line "who cares if it's fake," well.. you should. Because it cheapens the truth of those who do step up for people. Maybe they don't do it with all the right words or as smooth as this guy intended for his hero cop to sound. But those who do step up for others still put their asses on the line to help.
I don't know about that--this post has created some really good discussion about what to do and how to do it, and it encourages people to act--which from the posts means getting the police involved and talking to the restaurant manager. A lot of people are saying they didn't know what to do when in these situations...fake or not...answers to that question are a good thing.
It matters. It's a shame if this is not real. I could wish there were more examples of this kind of heroism in real life, and that those that do happen would be shared like this more often.
It might well have happened. There's a human tendency to make an interesting incident into a *story* because we are after all story telling creatures. We've spent our lives learning what makes a satisfying story, and we tend to bend real-life moments (which often don't fit the mold) into something that does fit. On the other hand, there's really nothing in this story that seems especially unlikely.
Agreed, not one detail sounded authentic.
You misread The Cappy's comment--he says, "there's really nothing in this story that seems especially unlikely"
Ahhh how adorable. Look at some of the commenters stepping up for creeps. Luckily for the girls, thanks to their comments they know who to avoid. Pretty please: go back to your women-hating, forever alone and pro elliot rodger-caves and stay there :)
They did vote for a rapist as president after all, so no surprise there. People think rape is ok these days. Well, maybe always.
"They did vote for a rapist as president" I don't think they were old enough to vote for Bill Clinton...
I'd like to see some proof as well
I missed that one. Is there an arrest record or a court case I can look at? Thanks!
Which ones? I've looked quite a ways down and the only comments that aren't praise for the cop or advice for others in a similar situation are ones bashing the story as fake. No one is standing up for the douchebag.
Most of the 'fake' club is male as you may notice. Nuff said...
I really hope this story is true. I am jaded I guess, as I know a writer in my town that writes about lonely hearts. She just makes stuff up. If this is true, bless that cops heart and his family and buddies on the force..and the first fellow that got up to straighten out that creep. And if it's not true let's hope the story inspires people to help a damsel in distress.
Um, yeah, that's what writers do. They embellish. Many of them write flat-out fiction. Just because you know ONE liar doesn't mean the entire world is lying. Besides, why would the guy who submitted this story make it up? What does he have to gain from it? He didn't even make himself out to be the hero, and it was submitted anonymously.
Lol you're so immature posting on everyone who disbelieves... I really hope you see this Ina, of course people embellish stories, it makes it more interesting... but this was posted on Reddit where a lot of people strive to become the most upvoted post and get "front page" on their respective sub-reddits. It wasn't submitted anonymously... it was posted on Reddit
I can only dream to live with people like that around me. I have totally lost faith in humanity.
Just wish to be surrounded by such people, don't waist you energy concentrating on bad stuff.. believe in it and you'll see ^^
The people who always call these fake stories are the type who would never consider helping. It's beyond their limited imagination.
they would help...in hopes of scoring
Of course I'd help, but this story was posted on Reddit... you cannot take everything you hear from that site at face value, the chances are that it is fake... is it a nice story? sure, but is it fake? most likely... someone wanted to make a heartwarming little story to get a lot of upvotes, it happens all the time.
You're making an assumption about others. I'd say your behavior is almost as bad.
Didn't even finish reading this, struck me as fake AF. If it really did happen, my apologies.
and nowadays people are out killing police simply for being police. what a messed up society we live in.
Easy son, I got this one. Love it
That's my favourite line. :)
Mine too!
How did the cop know the guy was getting up to go say something to the couple?
This comment is hidden. Click here to view.
that stuff never happened.
Don't you understand that doesn't even matter? If the whole story is made up, at least a lot of people have the answers they didn't have till now. Can't hurt.
This story is totally fake. This incident did not happen, and if it did, it did not play out the way it was reported. Stock photo with a LOT of quoted dialogue that could not have possibly been recalled unless it was secretly recorded (which it wasn't). It's just a huge story and you guys are all falling for it with your goosebumps and your tears. Please. It's fiction. It came from someone on Reddit, for crying out loud. Be a bit more discerning in what you swallow as fact.
How did the cop know the guy was getting up to go say something to the couple?
"It did not happen, and if it did" Wow, now that makes sense. Make up your mind, did it, or didn't it? Since you weren't there, I'd like to know how you know it didn't happen. Why should we believe you, some random person on the internet? lol. Its hilarious and when someone states their opinion as fact then tells people not to "swallow" things on the internet. Crazy AF
Gayle, that's just it, I don't believe it's a true story either, but who's to say I'm right or wrong, the person who posted this story was "some random person on the internet" also. It's just too twee, - guy is rude in a loud voice, other guys get all manly and protective, guy gets scared and behaves like a little boy, gal gets saved by good guy....nah, as you put it so well...make up your own mind.

Look ladies, another dude creeping in from that pathetic women-hating cave. Another one for the avoid-list :)
This belongs in r/thathappened.
There is no proof that this actually happened.
a great story but it sounds completely made up.
I'm really sorry, but I just don't buy this story. I think it has been made up. Look at the reaction it's getting. Pure Fabrication.
cool story bro... except that it is a complete fabrication.
I wonder how good the food was.
Probably a bit bitter...
Except for that the story is fake as it tried to fool the audience by a stolen picture. Stop manshaping, by creating fake stories.
manshaming*
Your stupidity has 'Hi, Elliot Rodger here' written all over it.
Why does this story read like not really true. Is it for clickbait?
And hopefully she learned the lesson of never meet a stranger at your house, meet on neutral territory
I have one thing to say about this Douchebags and his parents should learn how to treat ALL women young or old. Hats off to this cop and if that was my daughter and this cop stuck up for my daughter he and his family would be eating the finest steak in town. Thank you Officer and God bless you. Stay safe brother
I'll take shit that never happened for 500

😂
Story is a total crock of shit. I have been hearing this same story, with slight variations in some of the minor details, for over 30 years.
Me too. It's like it's been written but a professional writer./playwrite! LOL
...and the story includes a picture of the alleged 'creep', which could be just some random wanker who will now be painted as such because some twat took a pic in a restaurant to win BP upvotes. Fake cabbage like this makes me I-roll-599...7dc36c.jpg
Kudos to GoodGuyCop - thank you for stepping up and stepping in without overstepping. You did a fantastic job of backing the perv down and protecting the innocent. We need about a thousand clones of you, kind officer. Thank you.
I think that was very nice what the officer did for the girl. Thank goodness he cared enough to get involved even though he was off duty. God bless the other guy too that was willing to step in.
yeah im pretty sure that creep should be neutered for the good of the gene pool
In the US most police departments have a non- emergency number. Look it up and store it in your phone. You can always call and ask if they have a police officer near by that might want to have a chat with the D-Bag. If I hear a threat I call 911. As I am a female I would walk up to the female and ask if she needs assistance or a ride.
l noticed a sign in one restaurant whilst traveling recently, it is set up in the ladies toilet..it tells you that if you happen to be on a dud date or he turns out not to be what his profile says or any other thing, then you go up to the bar and request a particular drink, which really does not exist and the staff will know straight away that you need help getting out and they will get you out the back door AND organize a taxi for you..more pubs/bars need to advertise something like this..
If I was there, that cop would have gotten a standing ovation and the guy who was about to step up would have gotten a free meal on me!
That "free country" of yours seems quite a jungle. This lady has problems bigger than this situation if she wasn't able to handle such a jerk. Why does it have to be a policeman to overhear it, she should have called the police earlier if she didn't feel safe. And otherwise just give this guy a lecture in his own dirty way. Or just take a phone and call for the taxi.
Sure. Because we all think calmly and rationally when scared out of our minds. And maybe she'd tried to take out her phone already but the creep didn't let her make the call. Maybe she was afraid he'd do something physical to her if she tried to leave. You don't know. I do. I haven't been in a situation this bad, but I have been alone with a guy who was giving me the creeps and it can take an incredible act of will just to *move.*
I'm retired military and I would've done about the samething but I would of made his loser shit his pants.
Never have a guy pick you up for the first few dates - meet them so you have your car to leave if needed
Except for that the story is fake as it tried to fool the audience from a shutterstock picture.
This story may be fake, like people are saying, but it *SHOULD BE* real. Because the creep-guy part sure is. If more people responded like this in real life, there would be fewer horrible real conclusions to such incidents.
creepy guy says gonna rape you, but you sit there because the creepy guy is your ride?!
That's why one learns how to take care of themselves, or just carries a gun!
I'm so happy to hear that this officer knew that his family would have stood by him and that he had NO problem dealing with the jerk face. It's good to hear something good about cops because my brother is one of those good guys and it's really good to hear about it from another person who was also a good man. Police are NOT the enemy but most of the time people don't hear about it. We only hear about the bad cops of which there are quite a few of them out there, but there are also a LOT more good cops.
I hope it really happened that way and wasn't just dressed up.
porn boys are as pathetic in life as they are in bed
I wonder how she met this creep in the first place? I can only assume he had a very pleasant (and fake) on-line/at work/at college personality to persuade her to get in a car alone with him to begin with. Scary guy.
that is great thank you for helping her just totally awesome https://sites.google.com/site/davidmoneynextofkincom/
Wow! What a great cop! And a real man to boot!
Beautiful.
On duty 24/7/365 protecting those in need, AWESOME!
Awesome cop!
Happy for a second...then heartbreaking when you realize he's just going to go victimize someone else - most likely when there isn't a cop around.
Maybe not. I hope he will have learned. Bullies are cowards--maybe he'll just become a misogynist internet troll.
I really, really hope with my whole being that you're right - statistically though, you're not. </3
Great story! I was sort of hoping he's taze the guy, but this was less disruptive to the other people in the restaurant.
I really wish more ppl stepped up to the aid of those receiving douchey behaviour... I'm glad this girl got the help she needed when she did
I was wondering why there were not more comments about this being fake.
Legend
He did what was right, nothing else matters.
I LOVE this!!!!!
What a hero. Thank god all ended well, no one should ever have to deal with a creep like that guy. Whether it's a boy or a girl who has this problem they should all have be able to feel safe.
Good dad...good cop! If you see a young lady in this position act!!!!
What a great story, this girl was lucky and blessed to have the cop deal with this guy. I am amazed at how much trust, some woman, put into what starts out as mundane situations, only to see them fall apart quickly. (NOT in anyway saying this about this incident) I happened to have watched two forensic files about woman who went to bars and left with the guy after having just met him, he killed two of them, the other episode was about a woman giving two guys a ride, she was murdered too. And yes, I realize this had little to do with this particular incident, this is just how my over active mind works. Don't be so trusting of people and always have a back up plan to help yourself.
Not all heroes wear capes.
That is a Great Cop we need more like him.
If you really don't know the person or their capability Drive your own car, meet them first you can leave if you need to. He didn't have any respect for her because he picked her up. Be careful out there on the date scenes. Don't be disrespected. Thanks for the police officer and the young guy as well.

One hot day a friend walked into the pub and said: "there are two dogs locked in a car outside and they've been there for at least two hours." We go outside and sure enough there they are locked in. I said: "I'll take this one," and banged a screwdriver on the side window - shattering it. The dogs come and join us in the pub for much needed water. Some time later an outraged couple stormed in demanding to know what had happened to their car and dogs. I showed them my Fireman ID and informed them that if lives or property are in danger I am legally entitled to break into anything I damn well please. Your dogs are in the corner now fuck off. Didn't have to buy a pint for the rest of the evening.
Seems contrived. a Bored Panda creation? Another leftist sociology lesson? The observer sitting with his girlfriend mentions being sexually attracted to the hero. Not disrespectful to his girlfriend at all. Unintended irony.
From a moral perspective, the cop did a great job. But from a legal perspective, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. There are lots of things that are morally wrong (being rude and cursing someone out for example), but aren't illegal.
You rock!!! Glad there was a cop to help!
Worship of the police and their intrusiveness is what's wrong with this country.
Can you prove the story of Peter and the Wolf is true or false? What about if I told you a story about how a single person stopped a division of Chinese military tanks by walking in front of them? Fake or real? What about people who have climbed Everest? Maybe the story of the Fox and the Hound is not actually made up? The point is the story, rather false or true, is to incite thought. To make you think if you would get involved or not and why. Would you call the police, why or why not. Are you the assbag in the story threatening the woman? DO you have a lack of respect for the law and order of the nation? Would the people you typically associate with step in? WHy or Why Not? To simply post..."oh its fake, theres no way that would happen like that...." is a copout to actually having to use your noodle to process thought. WHo cares if it is fake... It should remind you to be a good person for all people.
Not making light of a great story and true chivalry but I pictured Leslie Nielsen. lol
Woah, that guy was just so lucky that he didn't go any further and was just allowed to leave the restaurant and the girl too since the cop was there. Man, I really like people like that cop seriously.
"Sorry about that miss, hope I wasn't intruding" - when did this incident happen? The 1950's? This story is simply made-up glurge, like all the Reader's Digest stories.
Wow.....thank God that cop was there. Put that freaking scum bag in his place!
Wait, the picks from shutter stock? The text is cut n pasted...this must be one of those pay to write bs articles some "work at home freelance writer" is writing. Wonder how much this one brought in? $20-25?
That bum should have his man-license revoked. POS like that gives all guys a bad name.
My partner and I were driving and passed a bus stop where a man was beating a woman up. I offered to call the police but instead she got out of the car and got involved. It helped that she was 6'8" but she threatened him with bodily harm if she ever caught him beating on a woman again. The guy quickly left the bus stop and we gave the girl a ride to where she needed to go.
Awesome story!
Exactly, it's a story- a tall tail!
TL:DR
/r/thathappened
That is so cool and beautiful. =)
Oh how I wish I had a guardian angel like him in my life !,,, you are an amazing man, and I hope you know how much a kind act like that can change a girls life!!!!!
Cute story even though I suspect it's an 'urban legend'.
I think this is a fantasy
How the dirtbag got this girl to out with him in the first place would be interesting. Goes to show - get to the place on your own steam on your first date, as you never know what the person you are going on a date with is going to turn out to be.
yeah this is definitely a made up story...
The guy talking at the begining sounded like a yank hearing him say I am not a guy for getting involved but was going to put that guy through a wall, is this after you have shit your pants or before you ran away screaming for your mummy.
No. This guy is not just an idiot. From the way he speaks and acts, he sounds like a man who sexually and mentally abuses his partners.
What do i think? I think this is a made up story to acquire likes, shares, and ad impressions. It's a nice story, though.
This sounds EXACTLY like a date I went on over a decade ago. This guy was saying SO many inappropriate things like this and I felt so uncomfortable. Except nobody came to save me. He did not rape me but he FORCED me to kiss him at the end of the date, like took my head and forced it into him and said he had worked hard all night for that. Then when he asked me if he could call me the next day I said no, and he replied with "But you see I know where you live now". I had never been more scared. THANKFULLY I never saw him again.
What a good man. Many people should aspire to be more like him
Blue Lives Matter bullshit !
You are bullshit...
I think it's fiction.
sure... this is not at all made up story cherry-picked and copied to a buzzfeed wannabe site to portray men as pigs.
Yeah wonderful story until u realize it was all a setup they were all in on including the daughter going to b her hero so that she can b comfortable enuff to eat w/them n trust them but instead of going home to drop her off they actually abduct n sell women into trafficking n the daughter was once a victim now has Stockholm syndrome... overactive imagination 😂 cool story tho... I mean I would've ubered but that's just me
Where was this? I'd like to send both of these guys a thank you letter.
I walked into a McDonald's in San Diego when I was in the Navy. I noticed a homeless guy standing at a table harassing a girl probably 10 years younger than him. I walked up and slid into the booth across from her and apologized for being late. Then I just stared at the guy until he left. Once he was gone, I left her to go sit somewhere else. I could tell the guy knew I was bluffing, but he didn't have the juice to call me on it. haha
Whay Would You Do...
wow good way to go its just to bad that you solved only one case..there are 100 millions others cases happening everyday...it seems we are more happy for one case solved rather than being worried about the other million unsolved cases
that show What Would you Do seems to encourage everyone to overhear conversations everywhere they go. But is that the right thing to do?>
Fake and Gay
Cool story it is. 6881_900-5...ea7f63.jpg
Despite the question noted earlier, I love this story. If it was my daughter in the lady's situation, I would want to see something similar happen to a cad. I applaud this.
This is why when I see an officer I always go up to that officer & thank him for his service.
Fantastic, It's nice to know that sometimes there will be someone watching over you and prepared to step in and keep you safe when you need them to 👮🏽 😊 💕
I would have intervened as well. Cop or no cop. I would have called 911 on my cel, told my date to give the address here, what the problem was and tel them to step on it. Because I'm pretty sure the asshat wouldn't have behaved himself if the cop wasn't there. So.... Heads or Tails: Heads - I come up from behind, sleeper hold, wait for police, and give her a ride home or go in cuffs for saving her and assaulting him. Tails - confront him, offer her a ride home, potential fight.
Agree, but this idiot insisted on his powerful story - "he picked her up and knows where she lives". Probably that's the most threatening thing someone can tell you. I'm all for calling 911.
he's my spirit cop
WOW...NICE STORY
Ahh, now this is the kind of thing we need to see more of. In a world that seems increasingly darker every day, this is the sort of story that renews my faith in humanity in general, and in police in particular. Serve and protect; the cop in this story gets it. We could all do worse than to take lessons from him, civilian and police alike.
what a wonderful man! I felt so bad for that girl! it's a good thing that we have people like the cop around.
Why is this down voted? Mido Dumplings is talking about the cop not the jerk guy.
I like it when all the kittens walk past.
As much as I want this to be true, I'm going to have to call shenanigans here. It's way too perfect and too detailed to be something that the writer was just pulling from memory. I think this is just that, a story, and not an actual occurrence that was witnessed by the writer.
This scenario happened to my grand daughter only she ended up raped.
Crossing my fingers that this is real! Kudos to this police officer!
Exquisite
Why was she on a date, and get picked up from her house, by a douche bag like this? Don't people get to know their dates at all before going out anymore? I'm guessing 5 minutes of the phone or in a group would have revealed this guy was not worth the time.
To be fair, going on a date was SUPPOSED to be the way to get to know someone. O_o
Koushalya Mahagedara it's called citizen arrest if needs be, basic human decency to protect a weaker one from PREDATOR!!!!! After reading this I definitely would have to say something,in today's world we all are responsible for all.or the world is going to end.
But be safe about it--this guy was a police officer. If you hear something, contact the police, and go to the restaurant staff.
Thx to cop for stepping in :) but, she could have easily left the toxic situation by taking "uber"or calling a friend. It is self respect
The guy knew where she lived. It would just have gotten worse if she did
So does cop...on the guy!
He knows where she lives now.
Seems contrived. a Bored Panda creation? Another leftist sociology lesson? The observer sitting with his girlfriend mentions being sexually attracted to the hero. That shit's not at all disrespectful to his girlfriend. Irony.
I'll take "Things that never happened for 500, Alex"
Ok I've had enough of this. I read thro the comments and saw a bunch of jerks who said it was boring, fake, or that the cop was racist or crap like that. Well I hope your not to lazy to read this. How would you know if the story was fake or not? Personally, I think it's true. People are nice enough to stand up to others you know. The girl couldn't run because the guy knew where she lived and he did not seem like the kind of guy to get mad. The cop would not shoot the guy just because he was black, what the hell are you talking about? That is racist to think that a white cop will shoot a black man just for that reason. If the story was boring, don't comment! Or stop freaking reading! It's just common sense. Go ahead , down vote this, I don't care. The people who made these comments got down voted so much I couldn't reply so I did this.
Awesome story, but hoping she was just a random date and not his actual girfriend, theseasses that treat their girlfriends and or wives like this will go home with them and beat the crap out of them blaming them for anyone who stuck up for them in public!telling them that they were a boyfriend or some shit, hoping she was safe when she got home!
She could have walked away on her own but decided to stay for the food....there is no such thing as free lunch anymore....cop idiot not hero...
That is awesome. I really like it when people don't just watch while others suffer. People like that guy who harassed the girl should be ashamed of themselves for what they do. It was really lucky that the officer was there 🙂
Damn the women-haters, forever alone cry-babies and Elliot Rodger fanboys keep on coming here to troll this topic. Pathetic losers.....
The question should arise- "why did she go out on a date with someone she obviously didn't know well enough to know this about him?" Some women LIKE being treated like that, apparently. Women should really be able to pick out these guys and not be put in this situation to begin with. That is why there are so many single/divorced mothers out there.
They behave like bitches, and after, they don't want to be treated like bitches.
AMAZING!
Too descriptive, long, wordy. I think it's made up.
Oh no, it exceeded your attention span. Shut up.
Just because something is long and you don't want to read it all doesn't make it fake, it makes you too lazy to care about any of this.
Fake
What a hero. Night off from shooting unarmed black people?
Roed Banda, you know as well as I do that most of those people were armed, or running from the police. In real life, that's pretty much the only thing that will get you shot if you're dealing with a good cop.
I thought there was gonna be some cool point with this story, but no. Just so bland. The guy seems like a douche and all, and I with someone beat the sh*t out of him, actually that would be a much better story. Also I think this is made up.
Bored Panda readers must be some kinda special stupid....all this shit is made up nonsense you morons!
They are. Bored Panda is a SJW loony bin.
When a policeman can just wave the badge and intimidate whoever he wants it gets pretty scary. Next time it can be you, not being gulty of anything else, beside iritating a cop during a birthday party. Hype now, but you will cry over the police brutality later.

the only thing I didn't like about this story is that the cop is already married....

This sounds like a made-up story. Also weird author is obsessed with men being "fit."

I love fake stories like these. So full of feelz.

1. Girls - do not choose too silly boys for a amorous date! 2. The small cilinder, bubble with the pepper solution is the good thing for the self-defense! For the heavy case, girl can take out her traumatic pistol. Using the combat gun in this situation is more dangerous and less preferable!

95% sure this is fake but still a heartwarming story

All cool stuff and what not, but how could one remember everything word said so vividly imresses me...or counterfeits it?
Maybe he wrote it down right after it happened, and for sure there wouldn't be exact, but close!
MORE like" COPY & PASTE"
Some people can actually pay attention
actually, most people do not remember as much detail in stress situations.
Aunt Messy: No you don't. Eidetic memory is scientifically unfounded in adults. Sorry to burst your pretty little snowflake bubble, but you'll have to find another way to feel special. Too bad just about everyone likes cats or maybe you could claim that.
I always remember. Curse of an eidetic memory.

My thoughts are the same. And some people like Ehsan Es cannot.

Yes Women and Girls are exactly equal to men, and should be protected at all times. Unless they don't want to be, and that is fine too. They are not capable of telling a 'douche-bag' to get lost, nor asking for assistance from other people. It's up to others to decide whether they are a daughter-figure to be fathered, or a romantic love interest to be perused and protected. Or both, depending on the twisted dynamic of the relationship.Don't forget they are exactly equal to men, unless the situation calls for special treatment pertaining to the chastity, integrity or demands of the woman. It's perfectly fine to want to 'throw a stranger through the wall' (if it's a man) but this behavior is never ok or relevant if the person behaving badly is a woman. Her behavior is her right, she has no obligation to others, nor should she consider others. She is the master and guardian of her own body and destiny. Pay the bill you douche bag, or the cop is going to abuse his position of authority.
Ok. The point is...?

The very clever juridical notice from the wise man below, dear Koushalya Mahagedara. If boy is not beating his girl, the usual visitor must not meddle into their relations! May be, the pair are sado-mazo and may be they enjoy so?
In the family restaurant? I highly doubt that.

I love this whole chivalry isn't dead and that off-duty law enforcement is still going above the call of duty. But seriously, this lady on the date could use a spine. If you are out on a date and the man or woman you are with does not act appropriately you have the choice to walk away, even if you rode there with the guy or gal. You can call a cab, call a friend, take an uber, take the bus, walk home, but to put up with someone's garbage just because you rode together doesn't really sound like a legitimate reason to put up with abusive behavior.
She can't walk home or take the bus or go home--he knows where she lives, and he used that as a threat against her. She was probably terrified and in shock--best bet, say you're going to the washroom, walk to the restaurant staff and ask them to call the police. Then stay at a friend's place that night.

The story tells us the rude guy was white, otherwise the cop would have shot him.

I don't understand why she just didn't tell him to f himself and take uber. She's not a little girl or disabled. Or walk for the matter. Take care of herself. I'd hope my daughter's do that.
Because he knew where she lived and some guys get pretty dangerous when they get angry. If she had done that, she could have been injured, raped or in the worst case, killed.
He basically said she would have to provide him oral sex because he knows where she lives. It wouldn't be safe to return to her house. Your daughter should contact the police and stay with a friend, or contact a friend or police to collect her

I believe it's true, but regardless the story inspires us to have the courage and heart to do the right thing in this kind of situation

Whatever! I'm so sick of these self-righteous bitches, I should just be gay! These girls want to date scumbags, then they deserve their scumbag attitude! When I am nice and respectful, to these same type of girls, they reciprocate with a sneer and silent treatment or some bullshit self-righteous comment. When these chick are walking around like she has on the latest in trailer trash fashion, and then tells me that I can't afford her, lol... bitch, I average $100/hr, how much does your slob boyfriend make, while he sits on his ass, playing video games, all day? I'll tell you... it's whatever YOU bring home from work, that's how much he makes! There are no more REAL women! They are out to get what they can, as quick as they can, and hope that the POS they're with doesn't catch on and kill them! I sure as hell won't cry for them!
Wow! You got some serious issues
Yes, you are obviously respecting women. Unless they are not doing what you want.

1. Obviously fake story. 2. And if it had been true, it would have been a blatant abuse of authority. And that policeman would have had some serious problems with me.
You would just shit your pants and snickers running away lol.
Don't judge others by yourself... :) Go to dance.

A hero? Please. He was in a position of infinite power. Maybe the guy was even black, and we know how police in the US abuses their power all the time. The guy was scared, not because the police man was so cool, but because police in the US has more power than Kim Jong Un. If I'd meet a US American police man, I'd fear for my life, no matter if I had done something or not. If he had been a guy without that power: That would have been a hero.
It wouldn't matter if he was black, Asian, female, male or anything. Being a creep is universal.

Tooooooooooo long, barely finish the first phase, then I roll down, decide to give up on this loooooooooooooooooong story. Boring, sorry.
Um ok? If you weren't interested I don't understand why you commented
I think she's about 10 years old. Her mother really ought to change the wifi password.
Oooooooh dam aunt Messy!!
