London Underground is insanely cramped during rush hour. People abandon their decency and resolve to the egoistic ways. Except for one courageous teenager. Barrister Jamie Susskind encountered this exceptional individual during his daily commute and had the privilege of witnessing his heroic act first hand. Luckily for the rest of us, Susskind shared the captivating experience on Twitter.
“Not all heroes wear capes,” one commenter said. “This should be presented as a parable to people who say altruism doesn’t exist,” another added. Scroll down to read the unforgettable story in Susskind’s own words and let us know if you think the Queen should reward their chivalry!

Jamie Susskind thought this morning was going to be like any other
But he witnessed something inside a cramped London Underground train he will remember for the rest of his life
The internet instantly fell in love with this courageous teenager
I have learned to internalize sneezes, it's hard and it hurts and there's a make or break it moment you have to catch or you'll lose it. This takes skill my friends, major skill. And I hate doing it, but can if needed. Most times my dad tells me I'm going to blow my eyeballs out of my head, but I'm willing to risk that if I can keep from sneezing on someone else. Kudos to this kid, may his eyeballs rest in his head for many more years to come :)
If you're out in public, you should catch your sneeze. Guy didn't do anything amazing. I do that like 10 times a week at work. And the story was really long.
That's a considerate young man. I, on the other hand, always seem to end up near people who love to direct their coughs at me.
We should be aware that civil society is not founded upon super heroes, but rather unnamed citizenry just doing the right thing.
Load More Replies...I thought it was going to be another commuter putting their hand in front of his mouth....
I gave myself doing this when I was younger... Glad the young guy escaped that!
Love this story! On a related note, I have morning sinous I have actually internally sneezed a lot of times and while it hurt my throat more than normal sneezing i never knew it could be life threatening.
Too many trains may cause a traffic overload. Trains stop in the middle of the road too if they have to wait for the train in front of them to reach the safe distance.
