I Created 14 Comics About Healthcare Workers That Will Warm Your Heart

To show respect for our tireless healthcare workers, I started creating short stories/comics inspired by real-life stories of what these Healthcare Heroes are experiencing every day.

Stories of despair. Stories of courage. And most importantly, stories of hope.

And I drew them all, using clear and simple drawings so that more of us can see these stories of heroism.

We can all be heroes in our own ways

Thank You

A hero is not someone without weakness. A true hero is someone willing to push through to better the world despite weakness.

This is wonderful, and painful. Doctors, nurses, caregivers of all kind are human. It hurts to watch someone die... and they are being there for all of us while it isn't safe for the rest of us to be there. I'll say this: words are cheap... actions are what matter. Help the people on the front lines. Talk to local politicians and lobby for more PPE. Even just give these folks a call... grief is exhausting, and our doctors and nurses need people to listen to them.

Thank you for sharing the perspective of a health worker in this hard time - that's needed. And it's so well drawn and expressed. And thank you, all health workers dealing with COVID-19 patients (and potential patients), for your effort and dedication in helping others, even when you too are suffering and are putting yourself at a higher risk (by working in the front lines).

Yes! It is a huge sacrifice that many of these healthcare professionals have to make, to risk their lives and even be apart from their family members to ensure their safety. I hope we can all play a part by being socially responsible like wearing masks and practicing social distancing.

I volunteer as a patient advocate.I work for patients, and families. I also have advanced first aid/CPR certs, and completed medical school. I've had to deal with protestors, been pressed into service as a nurse helper just to give a spare pair of hands, and more. Gone the days translating Medical Into English and guiding angry/upset people to help. Last week one of our docs attempted suicide. OUr hospital serves 7 counties. We're in bad shape in good times. Now? Your post caught a lot of the emotions. Even registration personnel. Security. We're still going in. And buy us some extra kleenex. We need 'em. Peace. Out.
