If there’s one thing horror movies have taught me about haunted homes, it’s that the devil is in the detsails. The house that Craig and Lisa Spurr have purchased, however, isn’t so subtle about its past. “My wife and I flipped [this house] about 2 years ago,” Craig wrote. “There was so much strange stuff. We just bought our house and while trying to figure out a loose floor board my husband removed a plywood ceiling . To his surprise a few old books fell out and a box. Then he looks and its porn and condoms. We still cant stop laughing. I feel bad for the person because it was an unused box.

Yeah......no. This is not even the creepiest thing I've seen this month. Just a different and maybe not so great sense of style.
Most of this looks staged. Who buys a house, then decorates it with the "old" fixtures and paint still intact? If it were that creepy, he would have painted first... then moved in.
If it was a foreclosed home (which are often flipped), it's likely it was purchased sight-unseen. Auctions can be held in a seperate locations, and it's an "as-is" sale. Sounds like a crazy thing to buy, but you can pick up an absolute bargain.
The house was a flip. Do you mean the previous owner? I moved into my current house without painting and it has drywall patches where they had to fix the electricity. I mean, I had planned to paint, but we've been here a year now and I just keep decorating here and there around it. Paint's expensive.
I think in this case it was the previous owner himself who flipped!
The same is true of tax sales. There was an incident in DC where the new owners found the previous owner dead in the house. Guess that's why he fell behind on his taxes.
I didn't see the coroners pics but they may have been more slouching than having fallen too!
They could have purchased the house as is, without looking at the contents. I have seen that happen before. It's quite the surprise.
I have never decorated or fixed things up before moving into a new house! Move in, then do a room at a time!
