I saw another article about this man some time ago and thought here;s a man that should get a Nobel prize for environmental awareness and activeness. Never hear of anyone else planting a forest lately!

And given the way India reproduces and has little regard for the environment or wildlife, this beautiful area will probably be destroyed to make way for more people unless it gets special protection from the government. That's great he's planting trees, but what that country really needs is education and birth control.

Shows just HOW MUCH can one ordinary man change in the world. Imagine WHAT could acheive hundreds and thousands of welthy and powerful people, politics, should they wanted to make this world a better place. Sadly, they don't and most of people don't too.

Scientific tests also showed that they stress out when separated. They believe that by reducing the stress they will raise their milk yield. But considering cows are herd animals, this isn't really surprising.

Many prisons in the US have a program that has select inmates train shelter dogs, some for specific tasks such as disability service dogs. Marked improvement in inmate behavior and outlook have been noted in these programs and, of course, it improves the lives of the dogs involved.

Greyhounds As Pets NSW have a similar program at a women's correctional facility here in Sydney. The inmates help prepare ex-racing greys for life as a pet, teaching them things like how to go up & down stairs, basic obedience, etc. It's great for the dogs, as well as the inmates who can even earn a government-recognised certificate. (Our foster grey participated in this!) :)
